Exceeded my expectations
I got this for my 6 year old grandson, and he loves it. I have seen some kids electric drum pads that were simply garbage, so my expectations were not terribly high on this one looking at the pics. I was very surprised with the quality of the build and the sound of this one.The sound is quite good and realistic, and the volume can go pretty loud. There are multiple cymbals and drum types, and a great feature is that it has a kick pedal for the bass drum, and a highhat pedal too. It also has some music pieces and basic drum rythms to play along to built in, and some other cool effects. The Amazon pics label the drum pads incorrectly though. The headphone jack is a considerate touch too, and although the Amazon pics show ear bud headphones as part of the package, mine did not come with any (I recommend over-ear headphones for little kids anyway). It rolls up for easy storage, but needs a flat surface to be used.The sticks are proper sized for learning real drums and come with tip covers to protect from misses, and the drum pads are very responsive. The fact that the pads are small will also help with speed and accuracy. Something else that is really appreciated on this kit is that the pads are easily identifiable as drums or cymbals by the images on them, unlike many of the others out there that use generic shapes like a circle for everything. One of the other great features of this kit is that it can run off of plug-in power (USB-C cable included), or its built-in rechargeable battery. I highly recommend this kit for little kids.

Great starter set up
Snagged this as revenge for my granddaughter to aggravate her mother. The benefit is you can use headphones if you want to. So its not that much of a punishment. The kids seem to enjoy it. I haven’t played around with it, but they go BANANAS on this thing. Definitely a great gift option here. Grab it while you can!

Great Intro to Drumming
This electric drumming kit is a great start into the instrument for younger children. I picked it up for my son who seemed interested in it after watching a cartoon show of his that had a character playing with a similar instrument. I never really wanted to have a loud set in my house and this is perfect since it is already muffled due to the pads of the set not being real drums. It also has silicone pad to put on the tips of the drum sticks to muffle them even more. In addition, headphones can be plugged in to allow even quieter play. If you have a child that seems interested in drumming and you don’t want to invest in a full set right off the bat, this is a great option.
