Best controller that I’ve found for Tesla
This controller works perfectly when paired via Bluetooth with Tesla. The button mapping is accurate for every arcade game I’ve tried on Tesla (Castle Doombad, Sky Force Reloaded, Cat Quest, Cupped, Beach Buggy 2, Boomerang Fu). I also was able to play Xbox Cloud Gaming via browser using the controller, again with perfect mapping. The size is perfect, making it convenient to store. Also, the controller works great paired to my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook, and Apple TV for casual gaming and use with Xbox Cloud Gaming. It’s a great controller to keep in a bag with you.

Works in a 2022 Tesla M3 using the 8bitdo V2 USB wireless adapter
Using the Xbox SN30 with the 8bitdo USB V2 wireless adapter in the Tesla works flawlessly. However, when using the Xbox SN30 in the Tesla with a wired connection, the joystick mapping is a little wonky.(V2 USB wireless adapter is sold separately FYI)After plugging in the adapter and pairing the controller, you need change the mode of the adapter before the car will recognize it. You do this by holding the black center/left button and Right (or Down) on the directional pad for a few seconds (I can’t remember if right or down worked for me). The adapter will blink, and everything should work correctly. You can find these instructions in the manual for the USB V2 adapter on the 8bitdo website.I charge the remote using a cheap USB cable that doesn’t have the data wires (charging only). This allows me to play while charging (and maintain correct joystick mapping) by remaining connected to the adapter wirelessly.Your car may not have data connections in the center console, so you may need to use the glovebox for the wireless adapter. I used the USB module from TParts to make my center console USB-C ports work with data.IMO this is a great controller for the Tesla because of it’s size. Its very small, but still high quality. Doesn’t take up too much room in the glovebox.

Works on PC but needs additional software
The size is perfect for portable use, I can connect it to my Surface Pro wirelessly and use it on games like Final Fantasy XIV Online. It’s small but it’s not troublesome for me to use the buttons. The issue is that it’s not just plug-and-play to be able to use it for the PC. It requires you to download their “8BitDo Ultimate Software” for this specific controller, and even then there are two buttons that didn’t work – for me the worst was the “A” button (“confirm” for most games).Ultimately what I did to make it work was to use the software “x360ce Controller Emulator” and mapped regular Xbox controller buttons to the buttons on this controller, then told the game (Final Fantasy XIV Online) to use the controller emulator instead of the 8BitDo controller.Haven’t tried it on Android – like it was advertised – but I just wanted to let others know that it is possible for PC use, it just wasn’t intuitive.

EXCELLENT FOR TRAVEL & iPAD | iPhone
This is just what I needed, perfect size for travel. Itâs smaller than an iPhone 15 Pro Max. Perfect to attach to my iPad Pro Magic Keyboard with a small velcro. Works with all the Emulators. The XBOX version comes with the Xbox button which is useful with emulators to access the Quick Menu section. (This Xbox button is NOT available in the other SNES 8bitDo SN30 Controller versions). Also the Xbox version has soft D-pad and soft Trigger buttons which is perfect for fighting and Racing games. The Other SNES classics have a more clicky feel which I donât like.

I love this controller
I keep it in my shirt or jacket pocket and when I want to use it I pull it out and push the Xbox button in the center. It turns on and I’m immediately able to use it to navigate game menus and play the game. I use it to play Fortnite on my Android phone. After the initial Bluetooth connection was established, it just connects automatically after I turn it on. Sometimes I need to be sure I press buttons hard enough, like it’s not as sensitive as controllers that I get with my consoles. It is very responsive besides that, no lag or delay in gameplay, and it’s so much easier than playing a game on my screen with touch controls. Has made playing Fortnite on my phone so much easier. Yes I’m an old nerd. ð¤ Also the R and L bumper and trigger buttons don’t cause any problem for me. I just grip it with only my pointer fingers around the outside edges and it feels natural to use those buttons/ no problem with controller slipping out of my hands.

Disappointed…
I had so much hope for this product, but it let me down big time. I purchased this to play Xcloud on my new Android tablet, I thought it looked pretty cool. So it synced up fine but for the life of me I could not get the LT and RT triggers to register at all. I searched all over the internet for help and realized A LOT of people were have the exact same issue. Supposedly the triggers are analog and you have to switch them into digital mode, with a button combination. So I gave the combination a try and… NOTHING ever happened. The combos weren’t working. I finally decided just to return the product and save myself some trouble.

Comfortable and pocketable
I was able to get these to work on the Steam Deck using xboxdrv with udev triggers, to convert the Android inputs to Xbox pad. They stow in my backpack perfectly and give me durable, comfortable Xbox controllers on the go.Some people don’t like the south-aligned sticks, I prefer them. The analog triggers work fine, and the actuation distance for the digital press can be tweakedâa common complaint is that it is in the middle of the trigger pull from factory. It connects to Bluetooth quickly enough and has enough buttons to cover a full Xbox controller. The face buttons are well spaced for larger hands. The only negative is that 8BitDo is likely contractually unable to update the firmware to allow for a saner button mapping or the PS/Xbox/PC/Switch hotswap support like with their other controllers. If only they sold the regular SN30’s with analog triggers and full Xbox buttons…

Works pretty well so far. Buttons feel nice. Controller is comfortable and lightweight. Despite the fact that the page says that it only works with Android, it works fine with my Windows 11 gaming laptop.
