This is the real thing
This is a genuine shredder. After about 15 years of using one of the $50 level of shredders that only strip shred and last about 2 years, we broke down and bought this unit. The difference is amazing. This unit is much quieter than the cheap models, it handles more than 2 to 4 sheets at a time, goes right through staples and credit cards etc. There is simply no comparison. The no jam feature is amazing. If you are in shredding and your last inserted sheets get halfway through when the basket becomes full, a light lights up telling you the basket is full and the machine stops. However, there is no paper hanging from inside the blade to extract because the machine cross cuts. We just received the unit yesterday but we had about 1/2 hour worth of shredding to do and it functioned flawlessly. I know we are going to love it.

Excellent, Space-Saving Compact Shredder!
Got this Compact Shredder for office use at work. We have a large shredder but it frequently jams and is difficult to deal with. For small shredding jobs at my desk, it’s great. I need to shred Contracts, Copies of ID’s and Checks and it’s perfect for that. It’s not able to handle more than 6 pages at once, but can handle credit cards and shreds pretty quickly. The basket is small and easy to empty for one person alone without spilling out everywhere. Would definitely recommend and I’m considering buying one for home use. The price was good too.

Handy to have, rarely clogs. I do run lubricant sheet through every few months. Chens up staples and credit cards with ease. Does create paper dust at times.

Shreds well but doesn’t really have a 14 page capacity.
Does a great job. However, I agree with another reviewer regarding page capacity. It should clearly be stated in the description about the 14 page limit. In the directions, it is stated that it is best not to process 14 pages in order to get the best performance. Rather, shredding 70% of 14 is the suggested limit. If I had not read this caution from a reviewer, I would not have known prior to the purchase. This isn’t a problem for me to adhere to the suggestion. Although, I do think it is deceptive to reveal this in the directions rather than in product description. It is very quiet which is nice. My old shredder was much too loud.

Competitive price and very easy to use!
Being the bonehead I am I never realized you are to lubricate shedders occasionally.Not wanting to mess with oil I chose to try the paper impregnated with a lubricant. I researched a little bit on Amazon and chose these for a try. They seem to work great – no real mess or fuss – just pop them in and run them though then reverse for a 10 seconds or so and you’re done. Price seemed competitive and the product arrived quickly in new condition.I plan on using them at least monthly – if any problems pop up I will amend this review.I would rate this product a very good 9.0 to 9.5 out of 10.

A replacement for my over 15 year old strip cut shredder. This one is so quiet! The bin holds a lot of micro-shredded material. I used the shredder oiling sheet after the first bin I emptied, and so far no complaints.

I use these after each bucket emptying. It is effective and noticeable each time I use them. The motor sounds a little easier on the first use and repetitive uses after emptying seems to lubricate the heads without a lot of oil. No mess, either.
