Awesome kit and a great value!
Assembly took about 5 minutes and everything worked great! While this does come with everything you need to get started, I bought a RetroPie card to go with this just to make setup a lot easier and it all worked with almost no problems. Just had one minor issue with the HDMI cable not wanting to work but after a couple restarts and unplugging/replugging the cable, it worked fine.If you’re getting this for an emulation machine, the N64 games on the RetroPie card I got don’t run at full speed. There’s a tiny bit of slowdown, just enough to be noticeable, so I would keep my expectations in check. Everything before that era works great, though.

Everything as promised
Everything promised in the kit is present and functional. This is a damn good value considering that most standard Raspberry Pi 4 kits would cost close to $100 even without the two SNES-style controllers included in this deal. My only minor complaint was that the microSD card included was rattling around inside the shipping box, apparently it slipped out of its own packaging which makes me wonder if its re-used rather than a new card. But the card works fine so it doesn’t seem like a big deal. This is the only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5.The whole setup was easy and I am not someone who likes to build or upgrade PC’s and whatnot. I decided to go with RetroPie as the gaming OS on the device and that was very easy to setup as well.All in all I am happy with this.

I got this for Christmas for my 9 year old daughter. I don’t know who likes it more me or her. It was super fun to relive a big part of my childhood with my daughter. “Dad how are you so good at Super Mario?” I have never been happier that I wasted all that time on that game hahahaha! It is simple to set up if you are moderately tec savvy. Slim and sleek case with a retro look and feel. The only drawback of this thing is its in her room and not mine hahahaha!

A time machine worth every penny
I absolutely love this raspberry pi and plan on using it for a custom arcade cabinet. With that said, Iâve already got everything configured how I want it with all the games I want.One tip that is just a little bit of common sense is that if you would like to have as many games as you want then you may need to upgrade the SD card. With that said, I put just about every game I wanted all the way up to psx and Dreamcast with little to no issue (N64 is where I started running into performance and storage issues, although Iâm playing on a 4K tv so Iâm not sure if that effects performance)After downloading all the roms I wanted, testing them to make sure they work, scraping each game (adds info like developer, release year, original game art, etc), configuring controls, testing themes to find one I liked, and adding a start-up screen (instead of script showing), I put roughly 20-30 hours into perfecting it to my liking.I personally suggest not following the instructions that come with this product. I had a much easier time following YouTube tutorialsOne thing I absolutely love is the way you can just use WiFi to add or delete games using your IP address. Itâs so much easier than pulling out the SD card ever time you want to alter it. I 100% suggest this setup.My review is kinda all over the place but I hope this helps someone. Enjoy your new time machine!

Pretty nice collection of Pi stuff
OK, I’ll say upfront that I’m not a fan of the controllers and the thumb drive died a sudden death while I was copying files on my PC.It’s still a little cheaper than buying all the pieces separately.The Ras Pi works (of course), the case works, the controllers work – I just don’t like the style and prefer an Xbox controller. And it was super easy to get up and running on Batocera.So, not a bad deal for the money and it all ends up working great. I know have a ridiculous array of retro systems and games and a friendly front-end to access them all.
