    Nice Full Featured Earbuds
So following a thanksgiving eve car break-in I was looking for a replacement for my Bose QC earbuds. I decided I didnt want to pay the premium price for the BOSE I decided to go fishing in the sub $100 waters. The EAH-AZ40-N featured mono playback in either earbud, a rich sound, bluetooth multipoint connection, just my voice for better call clarity, and a $90 price point for the Rose Gold ($20 less than black), as well as a $12 discount coupon. Great price so here we go!1. Packed in a nice box with assorted ear tips. The color is as shown in the photo.2. The charging case uses USB-C cables and comes shipped without charge! Interesting concept. Charged pretty quickly on my 65 watt charger. The charging case has a single multicolor led. Page 7 has the decoder key for the colors .. green is good, yellow medium, red is low, cyan (blue) means earphones are being charged.3. The units come shipped with the medium sized ear tip installed. I was surprised that the XS seemed to fit me best! They ride firmly in my ear and were comfortable.4. I like the mono earphone mode with either side. I tend to use when I am messing about and want to be able to hear my wife for instructions and questions.5. Stereo sound is quite nice with good bass. I have not done much testing yet. I am not an audiophile.6. The Technics Audio Connect application provides setup for the Ambient Sound Feature, Equalizer and other features. It not very sophisticated compared to Bose and Sony apps but it gets the job done on Android.7. Pairing is achieved by removing both earbuds from the charger and touching the control plate on one of the earbuds for 7 seconds. The little led on the inside earbud begins flashing red/blue. Pairing then proceeds as usual.8. Multipoint works well. I am sitting here with an android tablet, Samsung s20+ phone, and windows 10 PC. Start sound on one and the earphones connect. Stop Playback and start it on another device and the earphones connect .. So easy. It will not wrestle with sounds from multiple devices, you have to control the playback and the earbuds will get the sound.9. The charging case does not seem very rugged .. we will see how it holds up. I have ordered a pouch to give it some protection in my man-bag.10. Phone calls seem to work quite well, limiting the background noise. More testing to come.Ok, too many words. Nicely priced Full Featured Earbuds that sound Great.Happy Day

Awesome buds that are multipoint capable, have a great app and equally awesome sound
I’ve purchased 2 sets of the Technics Wireless earbuds (the True Wireless set and the Hifi True Wireless Multipoint) and both sets of these earbuds deliver on advertised features. While this set doesn’t support noise cancelling, it still offers some limited capability to mute outside noise. At this price point, I think these are some of the best buds you can buy for price, features, battery life, design and sound. There may be cheaper, but not with this amount of features.

Female vocals, acoustic, and performance music
Technics from back in the day. Remember DJs spinning their tunes with turntables? Yeah, they’re still around making things – over 40 yrs now. Kept up with the times. The AZ40 is their entry-level buds into tws. What can we expect? Let’s take a closer look. The AZ40 is the youngest sibling in an ever increasing family which now includes the massive AZ80 at three times the cost (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C5N5Y1C4/) and three device connection – true ‘multipoint’. Not to be outdone, the AZ40 is quite a capable, attractive, and witty baby of the family sporting a very interesting 6mm Dynamic Driver as its main producer with a very respectable two device multipoint. Why do I say interesting? Well, to best put it – you have to listen to it.SOUNDBright and clear sound, impressive sound stage, and exquisite instrument separation all from a tiny 6mm driver. Remarkable that the bass is as good and clear as the mids and highs, really remarkable. That’s Panasonic technology for you,. At a time, Sony reigned supreme with all things audio technica, with its incredible mastery of mechanical design and engineering in the slightly larger than a cassette super Walkman which would have set you back $200 – roughly $1500-$2000 in today’s cash. It was the Beats in day. You’d not only look the part, but you’d be rocking to it too. Panasonic, parent of Technics, always stayed back second or third – unless you needed reference or industrial equipment. That’s when you left the retail underbelly and entered the world of higher consciousness.PLAYTIMEGetting back. Really though, they shouldn’t make the small guy, the petite 6mm driver – do all the work. Though as a result, a very respectable 7.5 hrs of playtime may be achieved with such a small form factor – one which neither protrudes too much nor is fatiguing in weight. With the appearance of a fashion accessory the AZ40 does not disappoint in performance vs weight or size. If you need a lightweight, small form factor with fantastic sound and looks, this is it.ANCThat said there is absolutely no ANC with this model. It is shrewdly bundles with its middle brother – usually the one with issues – the AZ60, which sports a 8mm driver, true ANC – as in ‘active’ – at about $80 more. Now it’s nearly the same price. A bit messed up for those who bought the AZ40 but hey, when you go premium, you will pay a premium. That’s what capitalizm is all about.CONSThe sound controls are strange. Volume is controlled by one side, two taps/three taps. Not sure what philosophy was used here The other thing is the automatic ambient mode when on a call. Do you want to hear everyone around you while you’re on a call? It means while you’re enjoying your tunes with its passive noise control, when you get on a call you’ll hear what’s around you amplified. Now I get it, it’s great if you’re ordering your mocha or latte while on a conference call that you’d otherwise be late for, but in a way, that’s all times past. The mode defeats any passive noise cancellation you get from it being in your ears. The plastic that makes up the base feels super cheap. Reminiscent of toys madefrom the 80s, it’s obviously painted over and not pigmented resin. Cutting corners isn’t a good look for a premium brand but they do it only on the peripheral. Compare with a premium comparable Anker product you won’t see this.OTHER THOUGHTSPlaying music you have ambient mode or off – Off provides better sound insulation. Multi-point works well for two devices. Automatically connects with Apple products if already paired, and does not interfere with other paired devices, a helpful feature. Non-interference is good. Speaking of, bluetooth does cut out noticeably, as you walk away from your paired device.FINAL THOUGHTSIf you were around during the 80’s and was a part of the hip-hop and DJ culture you are fortunate enough to understand the rich history, cultural and technological heritage of the Technics brand throughout the ages. The AZ40 is a well-dressed, clean-cut, able performer of that heritage and a descendant from a long, rich line of products that have spanned the modern musical age. If you don’t need true ANC, that is, powered and using mics to defeat MRT rail noise, annoying talkers, or trolls that live above you, then the AZ40 is a solid entry into multipoint premium sound TWS buds. If you prefer real ANC and need it to preserve sanity and well-being, the AZ60 is the logical choice and will reward you with a larger 8mm driver and more solid bass sound. If you are of a higher tax bracket then go with the $299 AZ80 which is the newest of the three all of whom kicks Sony right in the *** for sound, build quality, value, and plain not taking you for a simp chump for tech.

Great Quality, Budget Friendly AND Great Fit!
I never thought the day would come that I find a pair of earbuds that had superior sound quality without fit issues!! Yes, some of us ladies care a great deal about balanced sound quality with great bass output!!While Technics was a leader in sound in the 80’s with their incredible music towers that regularly blew roofs off and parties were thrown around someone’s new tower (yes, I was a happy owner then too), they had somewhat disappeared into the background and drowned out by other brands over the years.I’ve been having issues with secure fit, first and foremost. I had ordered at least 4 or 5 pair that cost twice as much as these here and while sound was superior, the fit wasn’t there. Then I found a couple pair that fit, but they lacked sound quality. These here are a great, great solution for my small ear canal opening that’s pierced on top of it, which added to the fit issue.Technics still packs a punch with sound quality coupled with absolute great value. If I had to critique one thing, it would be that the charge case is somewhat ‘cheaply’ made, but…I don’t stick the charge case into my ear, so there’s that…Great job and thank you, Technics!! You did NOT disappoint!!

I previously had the Sony CF 50 and these was are as good. The great part is that you can connect 2 devices. Which I something the Sony couldn’t do. Sound is great and you can create your own settings

5/5 wish i found these sooner. If you don’t need noise earbuds, need earbuds meant for home listening and going to the gym, these are it. Sound quality is great and bass is punchy. Case is also small and compact. Such a great value for performance.
