Good sounding speakers for the price. Nice upgrade from my West Marine 5.5in speakers. just installed today so don’t know how they will hold up to the elements.

Good for the price
I installed these speakers in my pontoon boat to replace some clarion stock speakers I think they were something 601, They may have been 6″ but I thought 6.5 were stock which were the outside dimensions of the clarions. These speakers were a little bigger than the clarions and I had to use a hole saw to cut the openings about a half inch diameter bigger. I didn’t have much room to spare but these speakers fit well after cutting the a little hole bigger. I was mainly looking for some speakers which I could slap in there to replace my stock speakers which their cones were crumbling after 7 years in the boat. These speakers were better quality than the clarions the grills were thicker more durable plastic the woofers seemed more durable and it had a separate tweeter unlike the clarions which had a cone attached to the woofer. They have better power handling larger magnet and sound better than the clarions. Better highs… They handled the power of my stock Stereo just fine and had room to grow. I had concerns about buying cheap speakers and was originally looking for some alpines which were $110 for two pair. These pyle were $80 for two pair which was a real good price for the quality. I am happy with this purchase and would get them again, why spend big bucks for speakers which will wear out in the sun and rain in 7 years. I am glad I got them over the alpines… I hope this review was useful because the product descriptions and dimensions for most speakers stink even when you look on their websites…

Sound good to me
They work great for the intended use in my 19 ‘ Key West boat. Just want to hear music, was not looking for studio quality in the boat.Added 4/21 :Its been four years and finally had to replace them. I bought two more of the same. Still happy with them.Originally had them hooked up with a booster, but the booster did not make it a year. Connected to the stock receiver, 40 watt per channel, and still sounded good.

Outdoor trailer speakers
Bought these to replace stock speakers. Price was in my budget and reviews were fair. Hooked them up and much to my surprise they had good sound quality at low volume and even better quality the louder we turned them up. Great quality at very reasonable price. Will buy two more soon for the garage part of my trailer.

Great Speakers
While I have not spent enough time with these for a full review, the speakers seem to be just what I needed. The specs are extremely favorable though I was concerned about them being “water resistant” instead of being “water proof”. They are the size I expected. And for those that are wondering – yes they are a pair and not a single speaker. Looking at the manufacturer’s website and other online research it was not evident if it was a single or not. I will update the review after they get some use later this year.

OK with one condition
I’ve only owned them about a month. The speakers themselves seem to be made for the marine environment. They sound pretty good to me, buy my wife thinks the bass is “too boomy.” One thing, DO NOT USE THE INCLUDED HARDWARE TO MOUNT THEM. In one week the screws started to rust and stained the speaker grill.

Wow I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. Great full sound of these speakers. The wires they come with are not gauged high enough in my opinion. I used 18 gauge speaker wire. Surprisingly good mids/bass response and excellent tweeters. Definitely recommend.
