For Sony Alpha 9 III: SmallRig cage for Sony Alpha 9 III 4533 is designed to provide accessory mounts and protect the camera. The streamlined cage design ensures unobstructed button access, providing a more convenient usage experience.
Triple-Point Locking: The camera firmly secures Alpha 9 III via locating pins, a 1/4″-20 screw on the bottom, and an M2.5 screw on the left. A magnetic wrench at the bottom of the cage is accessible at any time for easy disassembly and assembly.
Cable Clamp for HDMI: The dedicated “Rhinoceros” Cable Clamp for HDMI secures the cables with thumbscrews protecting for HDMI ports and ensuring stable data transmission.
Quick Switch Design: Built-in quick release plate for Arca-Swiss at the bottom is compatible with RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro, enabling quick switch between gimbal and tripod shooting. It’s also compatible with for Arca-Swiss quick release plate 3154. The strap holes on the left and at the bottom of the cage are compatible with the hand strap (ID: 3848), shoulder strap (ID: PSC2428).
Multiple Mounting Points: Multiple built-in mounting interfaces include 1/4″-20 holes and for ARRI 3/8″-16 locating holes to attach a top handle (ID: 2165C) or side handle (ID: 4016), for ARRI 3/8″-16 locating hole to expand the monitor support (ID: 2903B), cold shoes for microphone or LED video light, QD socket for QD shoulder strap.
Comfortable Grip Experience: The ergonomic handgrip is embedded with first-layer cowhide and matches the camera perfectly. Note: Please remove the shoulder strap ring on the left side of the camera before mounting the cage.

Another Good SmallRig Product
For shooting video with my Sony cameras, I prefer to put them into a rig setup, so needed a cage for the A9III as my previous A7IV cages did not fit. I have used SmallRig plates and cages for years, so quickly turned to the brand for this one as well and they continue to live up to the great reputation. The fit and finish of the cage itself is excellent and the fit to the camera body is perfect. This made it very easy to quickly rig up all of my other existing accessories. My only nitpick is the gray color of the cage which is a change from all of my previous SmallRig accessories that have always been black. I’m not sure why they decided to have a color change for this cage, but that is really irrelevant to the function of the cage, so it’s not anything I’m really worried about. With the A9III still being fairly new on the market, there are not a large number of cage options available yet, but this one does not disappoint.

Great for A9III
This is a great product I still keep it on even when Iâm taking photos. Iâve been using it for when Iâm filming weddings and I can easily install my auxiliary handles.

Great cage
If you own an A9iii, then you spent quite a penny and want to protect it. This cage provides that protection and access to the battery door as well as give the camera an extra grip for that pinky even though the ergonomics has improved over previous generations. The swivel screen still is able to be accessed along using this cage. The grip also provides extra comfort for the hand as well as strengthen the body when holding on to a long lens. Photos don’t come any easier with this cage as an added bonus giving control of extra 1/4 threads to mount whatever it is you want on the camera.

Perfect fit
SmallRig always delivers when it comes to cages and this is no exception. Fits my A9iii like a glove. No rattling or looseness anywhere. Cut outs are precise and don’t hinder any functionality. Highly recommended.

I have not received my Sony a9III yet, but when I do, thereâs nothing more important than putting it in this beautiful cage by Smallrig. It adds more height to the camera, which is perfect for me as I have slightly larger hands. This cage offers protection to corner, top and bottom impacts. It also offers a lot of mounting points for handles, field recorders etcâ¦This cage is perfectly designed to fit all the curves of the a9III. This makes it perfect for me to keep on at all times. The body does not obscure any of the buttons, dials or ports. It comes with a tool to secure all the mounting points. The tool is magnetically held to the bottom of the cage firmly.Smallrig makes some of the best looking and most useful cages that I have used.

Un po’ laboriosa come montaggio perchè occorre smontare la clip sinistra di attacco tracolla per avere un fissaggio sicuro. A differenza delle altre L-Bracket Small Rig non ha la slitta arca swiss nella parte verticale, utile a chi fa fotografia (e non video) per scattare in verticale su cavalletto. Ho dovuto collegarvi una piastrina arca swiss per ovviare.
