Great for using in a USB caddy
I wrote a very negative review previously because I bought this product to add channels to my Roku. The add said it works with Roku 2 and 3. It does not work in the SD slot for adding channels to Roku but using it in the included caddy, it works very well for streaming media and pictures. If you want the SD card to add channels, this is not the one for you, but for storage and streaming media, it’s great!

Roku 3: Works Just Fine
My Roku 3 (4200x) immediately recognized the memory and prompted me to format. It’s currently using 1.7GB of data.You’ll need to unplug your hdmi cable from the Roku to expose the memory card slot.It’s important to note that you’ll actually insert the card upside down. Meaning, the gold contacts should be facing UP.You may need to restart the device but it should recognize the card right away. It will thrn prompt you to allow Roku to format the card.

If you are getting this fir a Roku Ultra and the format box closes before you can click on it, insert the card when the unit is on. Weird. but it works.

Not at all a fit for Roku
Amazon and Roku represent this sd card as working with Roku 3. There were several reviews suggesting it did not…however often reviewers are not technically correct. In this case they were right….it simply does not work with this product. There is a reason… Sd cards attached to Roku device is used for channel storage ONLY…. Not for movies or downloads…Even if it worked a 32Gb sd card would be a huge huge overkill.. Amazon…please do not allow vendors to sell where your customers let you know of an advertised mismatch.

Exactly what I needed!
Came quickly, price was great. My old Roku started messing up and saying I needed more storage and this fixed it! I just inserted the card into the slot and it was done. Exactly what I needed!
