Best Print Ever!!!
Honestly, it took a couple of attempts to figure the setup and app out. But, once done I really like this printer. I primary purchased the Q302 for the small size, quiet features, ink-free and 300 dpi very nice print quality. I also purchased the 4 year protection offered (better safe than sorry). The printer was beautifully packaged, and contained everything to get you started, connection cords and supply of paper – and a nice cloth storage sleeve. (I purchased the heavier black Phomemo zip case with handle, which offers better protection to the printer and you can store a approx 20 sheets of paper with your printer and cords.) I NEEDED TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR HELP WITH MY SETUP: MY EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT! THE REPRESENTATIVE WAS HELPFUL, PATIENT AND FRIENDLY. Overall, I recommend this printer!

Need improvements
I bought this with a high hope. With so many promises and I am deeply disappointed. I spent lots of time trying to like it but failed. Here are my thoughts:Pros: 1) lightweight see photo, only 14.5oz, 2) reasonable speed, 3) good quality print of text and solid line art, 4) battery installed, 5) relatively quiet, 6) great packaging. Cons: 1) It is difficult to open the front, and it is likely to break it sooner or later. No feed button and customer service suggested pulling it out by force, which is not easy. 2) cannot print directly, must use their app, which will take several steps, no WiFi direct, nor AirPrint. 3) it is difficult to set up the printer driver, downloaded and nothing happens, and video instructions are no help. 4) plastic construction, you drop it and it will probably break, 5) non-removable battery, which means that you cannot bring a spare and the battery life is limited., 6) cannot print to 2”, 3”, 4”, A6, A7 paper. The sensor will not detect any of the above. 7) annoying ad each time link from another app, 8) false error light on paper missing, 9) definitely not worth the $250 price tag.Conclusion: this printer should be specifically for iOS or Android devices, and it should support AirPrint, and improved paper feed, then it is probably worth $100. Otherwise, should just get a mobile HP, Epson, or Canon portable. They may be heavier, but they are proven.P.S. Beautiful package and the manufacturer is doing a good job on that. Perhaps their next version will be a lot better.

Super clear printing – Portable & convenient but requires app
The thermal paper is kind of a pain but it works. This compact printer works well but requires you download, install and use the app. It’s just a pain that it seems we need an app for everything these days. But you can’t blame them for that. Other than that old man gripe it’s very convenient to have a compact printer when you need it. It’ll take a while to set up so be sure to read the directions through before you try.

I really like this portable thermal printer!Build quality and design are very good – rigid, good-quality plastic with an extremely simple paper path that is essentially just a single roller that moves your special thermal paper across the print element/print head. When it comes to printers I think we can all agree: simple is good. Simple means fewer things to break or jam.The package includes everything you need to get started, including 20 sheets of the mandatory special thermal paper. You can’t use regular printer paper with this machine, in case you were still thinking about trying to save some additional money. This printing tech has been out for decades and it needs the special paper to work. Most receipts you get from any place you shop or eat uses this same technology.Setup is really, really easy. Wired via USB C cable to PC or mobile device, or Bluetooth or WiFi – you get to pick one, and they are all easy and clearly described in the included, easy-to-follow manual. For my testing, it took about 60 seconds to download the app and start printing a PDF I had on my mobile phone. Saying it was easy is almost an understatement – they really got the process down pat and the app walks you though the print job allowing you to select specific pages to print and adjust paper thickness. One of the killer apps this printer provides (aside from being tiny and battery operated) is the scan and print feature. You can take this tiny printer with you, use your phone to scan a document, adjust scan area and brightness, and have it print a nearly perfect copy in just a few seconds. Amazing!What are the downsides? Well, you can’t have it all – you need to purchase thermal paper, which is a lot more expensive. But it is available from MANY vendors so you aren’t at the whim of those ink pirates like Epson, Canon, HP, etc. with their proprietary ink carts. This little printer isn’t high volume, nor is it super fast, nor is it ultra-high quality. 300 DPI is the best you can do, and to be fair 600 DPI was the low-bar setting made 30 years ago on laser printers so print quality is not where this excels. In my testing, even graphics came out great, and normal print was exceptional – 300 DPI is more than enough.This printer is highly recommended for its convenience and great features.
