Bass Drums Slide. KickBlock Doesn'tBass Drums Slide. KickBlock Doesn't

BREAKTHROUGH FOR DRUMMERS: Tired of chasing that sliding kick drum? KickBlock locks it in place and completely eliminates bass drum creep— so you can focus on your music.
TOP-RATED SOLUTION: Named “Best Bass Drum Anchor” and “Best Drum Accessories of 2019” by Drumming Review.
REQUIRES VELCRO-COMPATIBLE DRUM RUG: KickBlock requires a Velcro-compatible drum rug or carpet to properly adhere. If you are uncertain about whether Velcro will adhere to your rug, you can test your rug with a small piece of Velcro (hard hook side) to determine if Velcro will grip your rug. If your Velcro grips the carpet fibers even a little, KickBlock’s 27 square inches of special Ultra-Grip Velcro will grip it like crazy!
PATENT PENDING DESIGN: With 27 square inches of military-grade Velcro, KickBlock grips your Velcro-compatible drum rug and puts a shock-absorbing wall in front of your kit, so your kick can’t slide no matter how hard you play. Specially tuned foam block absorbs the beat and protects your kit.
FOR ACOUSTIC AND E-DRUMS: Great for gigs, touring and studio work, KickBlock is lightweight and roadworthy.

Customers say

Customers find the product works well to keep the bass drum from moving. They appreciate its sturdiness, lightweight design, and easy installation. Many find it simple to use and carry. The velcro hold is also liked. However, some customers dislike the stickiness and have differing views on value for money and size.

    It WORKS!
I originally thought it would be about the same weight of a similarly sized 2×4 piece of wood but it feels surprisingly light. Despite its weight, when I try to take it home from church it’s a struggle to get it off the carpet.I use it for two different types of heavy hitting. At church, we have a classic, very light, flat base snare stand that moves from its proper location to my lap in 1/4 of a song. With the kick block wedged between the two legs facing me, the basket goes nowhere. I also play for a college pep band where we have to hit extremely hard just to be heard WITH the support of a medium sized sound system. When we’re in the stands I use ratchet straps to keep the bass drum from flying off the scaffolding we play on. When we traveled, I used the kick block and even our hardest kicker had no issues with kick drum creep. Here are some of my cons what in no way outweigh the pros. It’s fairly large and just barely fits in the water bottle pocket of my large backpack. Where this is a struggle is when there’s limited depth space for the drum kit, however that may be where the pedal block may be a better solution. I’m sure many people have been in the situation where the kick is at the edge or a riser and their seat is at the edge of the other end and there’s just absolutely no space for it in scenarios like that. It also doesn’t do anything about left to right movement but that can be solved with a better kick drum pedal with Velcro on the bottom. Another issue is that I wish it was taller since we have to lower the kick at pep band but as it is it’s, just the right height to be portable so I understand why it isn’t.Overall, it’s a great product and if I can actually get my hands on one, I’d really like to see if the pedal blocks would fit my needs better.

    It works!
Works well to keep the bass drum from moving. We use it with a small area rug underneath it.

Product works as described but after some uses the Velcro moved from the original area not sure if it was defective but still works somewhat…

    Great gift
I bought this as a christmas present for my boyfriend, and he loves it! He says it keeps his kick drum in place which is exactly what he needed! This would be a great gift for a drummer. It was also a great price!

    Never moves!
This is awesome for any drummer with a heavy bass foot! I have a set up on carpet and my kit would always walk away from me anytime I played a couple songs. I’m on the Praise and Worship team for my church, so the drums definitely get out to use. With that said now after the easy installation I have NEVER had another problem. With the high quality Velcro, there is absolutely no movement of my entire kit. Awesome product

if you have a drum rug that has a loose fabric for this to latch on to it will keep your kick drum in place as well as a cinderblock in front of each leg. placing this in from of the kick rim is safe as the softness of the block keeps it from scarring the drum and the amount of velcro on the bottom locks it in place without issuenext up is to buy the smaller one to keep my hat stand in place from the left foot slamming it 🙂

These are sweet! They’re light and compact, and easy to throw in your cymbal bag. As long as you have a Velcro compatible rug (I got a cheap thin one at a hardware store) it solves all of your issues and your bass drum and hihats stay put. I highly recommend!

We are a recording studio and have several drummers come through. We have had to use sandbags on some drummers as the kick would move. This block is solid, looks nice, and replaces having to use the sandbags. One should note though you need a drum rug specifically (or a rug that works with velcro). We originally had a Persian Rug that was not velcro compatible and the block did nothing as it could not attach to the fibers.
