Perfect for my project!
I used this antenna for my custom install of a stereo in my popup camper. Works excellent. I had to swap out the bolt for a longer one so it can reach through the side of the roof on the camper. The antenna provides a water tight fit with the included rubber mount, and I just unscrew the rubber antenna part when I’m traveling with the camper. You can also tilt it down as it will rotate if you loosen it. I like that it’s rubber and won’t corrode, or look worn over time. Also, being flexible is nice. Haven’t had any trouble with reception. I have it wired into a Pioneer car stereo inside the camper, and I get excellent results.

It took me some time to install this into my boat. I call it my upholstery apprenticeship. I know why custom upholstery costs so much now. It looks sweet now and sounds even better. This deck sounds so clear, even at excessively high volumes (OH MY!) I hooked them up to the Infinity Reference 6.5, 225 watt. It pushes them just fine. Matching ohms perfect. The Dual SG1 Universal splash cover fit and works great.The antenna is mounted out of site under the gunnels and works nice from there.

It directly replaced the same antenna that rotted after 6 years on the salt water. I was actually able to separate the parts and replace just the rotted parts for a 5 minute fix. It doesn’t have amazing reception but it works and for the price it’s excellent.

cheap, no instructions, it works
The soft metal that makes up the base of the antenna broke during installation, but I was still able to use it. The bolt that comes with the antenna was a little short, so I had to go buy a longer one that would extend through the fiberglass bulkhead on my boat. It works for now, but I don’t expect it to last for more than a few years. It still doesn’t come with instructions!

Great Replacemet
Great replacement antenna or even for a new install, which mine was. Shipped quick with Amazon Prime and was packaged with several other things I’d ordered. Installation was easy and it work super. Now the pontoons ready for another summer on the Lake.

Compact mutiposition antenna
I bought this antenna for my motorcycle to mount on the side of my new trunk. The only issue is the pivot screw is a few threads to short and will easily strip if you are not careful but is easily rectified. Remove the lock washer below the head of the screw and it makes it just the right length to adequately tighten without striping and remain tigh enough to keep it from coming loose or moving during travel. I replaced the 12 inch “Rubber Ducky” with a 24 inch stainless steel whip just for the “Motorcycle” look, I really only needed the base but it worked well as it was. Great reception and no static or interference. For the price, 20% of an auto parts store, it was well worth it for the same antenna.

Like some other buyers, I was perturbed that no instructions were included with the package. However I found a very good instruction sheet on the Boss web site. Too bad they didn’t think to include it in the package. That said, the antenna works well on my boat.
