The straight scoop..
I am an audiophile, I was looking for a desent sounding pair of outdoor speakers for my pool area. I was mostly concerned with build quality because I live in Florida and the elements can be very harsh here, especially for any type of speaker.Well, Polk delivered what I needed, the specs are great, and you can really tell when you hold this speaker that it should hold up to the elements no problem at all. The bracket system is very well done, very user friendly and very adaptable to locations of all kinds. The only thing they don’t provide is the screws for mounting, but simple enough. To my surprise, they sounded like a very good mid fi home two channel speaker set, honestly I was not expecting to sound as good as they do right out of the box. Break in time is long, but any thing of any quality (speaker wise) always is. Bass response is tight, but not over exaggerated. Bass is good, but more of a mid range shiner, vocals sound very realistic, highs are nice and clean even through MP3. However, a lot of people are Bass hungry, if you are one of them, this is not your speaker, you may want to go up to the higher end Atrium in the line that has the ported bass, that I would imagine would be enough for any outdoor event for most people.Placement also has a lot to do with sound, my speakers are overhead about 10ft off the ground, mounted horizonal, angled slightly down. (maybe 3 deg) I have them spaced about 8ft apart, this allows for good stereo sound at a short and long distance, that works with my area. My deck area is 30ft deep by 50ft long and was worried about this product “filling the air” but it does so nicely with a desent amp powering it. This is very well worth the money, and a great product, hard to find it dissapointing by any means for this price.

Great speakers at a great price
Purchased these speakers to replace a set of Bose 151âs. Couldnât be happier with the sound quality and sound range.Easy to install and position in my yard. They have a great low end and crystal clear mids and highs.Good value quality product!

I have four pairs
Well, I have bought and installed four pairs of these by now for my whole-property audio system, so yeah, I like them. Their mounting system is very smart and adjustable, and I am surprised how good they sound. They blend in relatively nicely and seem to be the right size for casual listening.

Better Sound than Pyles
Tried these to replace less-expensive Pyles. The Pyles seemed louder at the same watts RMS, but these are adequately loud and have a richer tone with better bass.The loudness is not an issue, it just means we have to set the volume higher. Our application has these wall-mounted on an outside porch about 40 feet from a sitting area, and even on windy days there is more than enough loudness without having to max the volume.

Pros: easy to install with sturdy. Brackets. Sound is amazing and loud with right receiver. Great looking and love the spin lock mounts.Cons: wish they were more universal with banana pins. And maybe a larger sub sound.Overall great buy, like I mentioned replacing my atrium 3

Great! Better than expected!
Loving them!!!! I’ve had these on my list for over a year while planning and performing my basement remodel. While doing that I ran speaker wire out to my back patio from my planned home theater in the basement. I’m glad I stuck with them instead of going with another brand. (Though I have nothing to compare them to). Very nice sound stage imaging that I did not expect from outdoor speakers. Bass is quite good for the size. You obviously will not get as much as my Infinity Primus 363 Towers (or a 12″ subwoofer), but it’s much better than expected.Amazing creative, functional and sturdy built in mounting brackets! I used #10 screws to mount the brackets (keyhole) to the overhang underneath my roof. I put one screw through the stud and the other only through my wood siding. The speakers are pretty light weight (4 pounds) and easy to handle and I feel that they are 100% sturdy and will not fall. The speaker is super easy to remove from the bracket and just as easy to attach. Great for bringing your speakers inside during the winter!Problem: The banana plugs (Monoprice) that I have are too long for the cavity where the binding posts are. I pushed them in and are working for now, but I would feel better if I got shorter ones that fit all the way in there.I’m using my 2nd zone on my Onkyo Receiver. The remote app is awesome. You can select your source, pause and skip songs and control the volume straight from the app. You can power on the 2nd zone without turning your whole receiver on and can do it all from the app. It is so cool! You just have to have your receiver connected to your network, wired or WiFi and have your phone on WiFi.Rocking out!

Great sounding speakers.
The sound quality is exceptional. I am using a Fosi Audio BT30D Pro to power these speakers. The bass is more than expected. Clarity with highs and vocals is also very good. I only ever buy Polk speakers indoor and outdoor because of the value to quality that you receive from this company. They are well built and “beefy”. I totally recommend these speakers for outdoor entertainment and indoor for that matter.

Great sound for the size!
Iâve had several sets of small outdoor speakers on our sailboat over the last decade. They usually sound âtinnyâ and âhollowâ. I was hoping for a bit more with these speakers but was pleasantly surprised how much BETTER they sound than other brands weâve owned. Decent bass and well rounded sound. Excellent value for the price paid. Would certainly recommend these to anyone needing speakers on a boat.
