A nice drumset to use on the go.
Bought this set as a Christmas Present for my 8 year old grandson who is just starting to learn how to play drums. It works well and makes it possible for him to bring with when he visits his cousin who is learning to play guitar. They have a lot of fun jamming along with our daughter who is learning to play a bass guitar.

My son LOVES music and is constantly playing guitar and piano. I seen this before Christmas and thought he’d enjoy it. It wasn’t something he had asked for but it turned out to be his favorite. He loves that he can play whatever he wants and I love that he can put in headphones and I don’t hear all of it lol. Well made. Great sound for a “toy” drum set. Great starter to see if there is some interest in a real drum set.

Good value, some minor flaws
Overall it’s an amazing thing for the price. Be aware that these are on/off switches, volume won’t change depending on how you hit it.Something very good was that I could connect this to my ipad (adapter required) and use it in melodics for learning. It’s not perfect, it will break if you try to map the instrument and switching to left-handed works badly and it’s not usable. I’m not sure if this is a melodics or donner issue. In any case, plug it in, don’t touch the mapping button, and if you’re right handed you’re good to go!Now why not 5 stars:- Volume control is not good. It’s controlled with buttons, the minimum volume is too loud for my kid using headphones and the next step down is zero. This can be overcome using headphones with volume control or a volume control box. However, for the speakers there won’t be such an option. It makes no sense to make this work in steps, it could perfectly be continuous.- Getting the advertised “Free lessons” was a pain involving contacting support. I can’t understand why they are not making this easier. What they give you is some extra free melodics stuff via a code, melodics already comes with some free stuff you can get started with.eitu

Bought this as a gift ð for my grandson to introduce him to drumming. This product works great with demos to play along with while it also records. U can play with earphones as well to not disturb others.

Great look and versatility
Great! Extremely responsive, footpedal moves out of position too easy (lacks weight). Midi connectivity is a huge plus with improved drum sounds possible through a computer (e.g. Melodic). I prefer other speakers – hitting the kick drum and snare together results in bad distortion on the speaker – much better when the output is connected to a better speaker.

Within a minute of use, it’s obvious this is a toy. Hits aren’t always registered and some hits are registered more than once. That’s fine for a kid just wanting to make noise but someone actually interested in drumming will be disappointed.
