Awesome lighting
My grandson put the lights up. Super easy to do and only took about 45 min. We will keep them up year round. No more having to put up and take down Xmas lights. I also love changing the colors and patterns so every night itâs different

These are the best lights for homeowners! Put these lights up we’re pretty easy and it sticks really well to our walls! I love that I can change the lights to any color I want for any holiday. I bought this for our christmas lights and I honestly want to buy more for the inside of our game room. If your thinking about purchasing outdoor lights you have to purchase these!

Great but canât cut to shorten or lengthen
Super easy, just plug-in and download the app. I have this mounted under the railing on my stairs on my deck to get from my back door to my patio. I love all of the lighting options and âscenesâ you can choose in the app.I had really hoped that this outdoor light string could be shortened to more appropriately fit my space. It cannot. I bought it when it was on sale and didnât think to check first. If you were to cut it, it would cut through the outer covering that makes it water/weather resistant, which was kind of the whole point.Hoping Govee makes it easier to extend these lengths of lights for leaving up outside or on the house year-round in my wet PacNW!

Buyer beware
I bought (3) 100 lights and am sorry I did! Too late to return they are installed and have paid the electrician $800.00 to install. Before installing check to make sure they all work! Even then some of the lights are a different color or stop working in some parts of the strip. The electrician had to come out twice and splice and replace two areas – in less than two weeks of use – too late to return because I would have to pay him to uninstall. I bought these lights for my first Christmas in my new home and am sorry I did ð¿. Total loss $1,300.00

Man, do I love these lights! First, theyâre durable and high quality. Keep in mind these are lights that will ideally remain a permanent fixture on the outside of your house for years to come. So, take your time installing them. I took a whole day to map out the length and install them. I drilled the clips to hold them then peeled off the back adhesive plastic and stuck it on one clip at a time. The clips were about 2 – 3â apart. Havenât had any problems with the clips or adhesive holding the strip up. Make sure you do both (common sense). These lights are an investment so take your time. The GOVEE app is awesome. There are so many ways to customize your lights. Timers, schedules, patterns, diy colors. Youâre even able to turn off sections of the strip. Right now, theyâre Christmas lights. Next month, theyâll be something else. Definitely worth the time and money. These lights swayed me into buying more GOVEE products and every one of their products links to the same app. So nice ð

Makes “decorating” the house easier & more fun. Durability is good, but do be cautious.
I admit it, I’ve fallen in love with Govee. The products are high quality and do what the marketing messages and photos say they will. But there are limits to their durability, just like every product. With this brand, and specifically this product, I recommend you remain aware of how much handling (pushing, squeezing, squishing, or bending) you do to get it into the space you have available or the shape you want it to conform too.The 98.4ft length comes as 3 sections that connect by a short length of wire and a water-tight low-voltage screw connection. I installed mine under the aluminum coping that is the flat cap on the parapet wall that surrounds our roof top deck. The light washes the half-height wall providing us with either a nice low-level ambient lighting feel already the deck, or the ability to turn up the energy and just have fun with the the colored patterns racing around us.As far as durability… I was took a decent amount of care installing the lights, but admittedly I had to squish the light strip into a couple of tight spots. I must have pushed the limit on how much I could squish the light strip in one segment as the blue colored LED’s are no longer working in a segment about 18″ or so. This HAS NOT impacted any of the patterns or colors in the rest of the that particular light strip or the other two strips in this kit… I guess that’s one advantage of individually addressable LEDs.Fortunately, I only need to replace one segment. It would be a real bummer if I had to buy the entire 98 ft roll again and replace the entire thing.On Eric’s “Who should attempt this at home?” spectrum for installing electrical and home lighting products, this rates a solid “You Should !”

Awesome permanent outdoor lights!
I went out and got quotes for permanent outdoor trim lights from two very prominent companies. After getting quotes for just the front of my house that was thousands of dollars above my budget, we came upon this Govee light solution. And with Black Friday sales, we got it at a great price of $99! Outside of having to climb a ladder multiple times during the self-install, I think they turned out great with tons of different options for patterns and colors!! Not my first set of Govee lights, and definitely won’t be my last… great product!!

I wanted lights that I could leave mounted under my eaves year round. I found these quite easy to install but not having great faith in the 3M tape to hold them in place, decided to use permanent clips. The lights includes some clips but not enough to properly hold the lights so I searched Amazon, tried some that didn’t fit despite claiming that they would. Well I found some that do work – almost identical the the ones that came with the lights. They are MECCANIXITY Waterproof LED Strip Mounting Clips Holder Mounting Bracket Support Fixing Clamps Fit 12mm to 14mm Silicone LED Strip Lighting Translucent Pack of 120 for $CDN 20.49 though I am going to buy #6 screws to replace the #4 screws that come with the clips. I took a bit of learning but in the end the lights were fairly simple to program. They are very bright, seem durable, and give very good colour.

I really liked this product to decorate my patio. The different color modes depending on the desired atmosphere were interesting. Easy to install and operate. BUT it only lasted 1 month and used 3 times. It won’t turn on anymore. Poor quality. Don’t recommend – it will last just long enough so you can’t return it!
