    Listen Up, Seniors!
If you hate grubby corners (behind all those plants, dog beds, small tables, chairs, magazine baskets that it’s just so hard to move while jostling around a 20+pound vacuum and heavy, noisy powerhead), and you hate the racket your canister or upright vacuum makes (and your pets hate it, too!), try out this amazing little machine! Vacuuming has never been so much fun!I first purchased the Eufy 11S after doing MUCH research and spending time communicating with Eufy. (They have wonderful, responsive personnel!) Took all of two minutes to get it out of the box, set it up (attach brushes) and get it on the charger. I let it charge overnight. The next morning I hit the “perimeter button” and off it went! I scooted around in front of it, pulling baskets, dog crates, cat scratching pads, shoes, plants, magazine baskets away from the edges of the wall while it came along after me and cleaned places I probably haven’t reached in ….some time! First time around, one dog (8 lb Papillon) hid in the next room; the other (12 lb poodle mix) followed it around. (Allowed two perimeter runs the first time since some places hadn’t been done in ages and I just wanted to make sure!) Then hit the “automatic” button and as it made its way around the room, I replaced stuff along the walls. How easy could that be?!Although there’s no need to move everything every time I vacuum, it’s so easy that I often find myself moving alot! (36 years of “accumulation” – aka “clutter” here). If the phone rings, no need to shut off the vacuum; it’s no louder than a desk fan and I can easily talk on the phone or listen to the news on TV.My 2000 sq’ cape home has mostly medium height carpeting (a combination of cut pile/berber), even in the kitchen and dining areas (breakfast area and formal dining room). It also has tile (hallways, bathrooms), hardwood (two of three bedrooms) and brick (family room) with a large area rug. Eufy tackles it all! It’s little “corner” brushed do scatter the birdseed on the bricks, but it seems to manage to pick it all up eventually as it makes several passes in every area when on “auto”. The amount of pet hair (and my hair!) it picks up is astounding, as is the amount of fine dust it captures. (I have allergies and this is a blessing!!)Yes, I do clean the brush roller and the dust bin frequently (usually with every “full time” vacuuming; this vacuum will last at least an hour unless I put it on the half hour “single room” cycle). The dust bin empties easily into the trash without dust flying all over the place; with the included brush and a couple of strokes, I gently brush off the filter and haven’t yet replaced any. It takes a couple of minutes to slice through the hair wound around the brush roller and pick it off using the included “comb” and my fingers. (Ok — don’t like the idea? When was the last time you cleaned the brushes on your big vacuum’s powerhead to ensure its efficiency??) So easy to do this with a little vac that you can set on the kitchen counter. (Turn off the power switch on the bottom first.) Three minutes to clean it up, turn back on, set near the base and send it “home”, wipe off the kitchen counter and you’re done. No need to struggle to get the canister vac, it’s heavy power head and wand and hose back into a closet somewhere! Need it upstairs? Carry it up under one arm (don’t forget the remote). It’s never fallen down the stairs.Because I’m retired and can be home, I haven’t yet used the wifi function, other than to set it up (easy).Because Eufy is so quiet and convenient, I vacuum the most used areas much more often than I would with my heavy conventional vacuums. There is probably no doubt that the suction on the canister or upright is stronger, but because I use Eufy so often (up to several times a week in high traffic areas), my husband is commenting that the rugs look cleaner. No time for shoes to grind leaves and dirt into the carpeting! (And no, my family does NOT remove shoes; and the two dogs and a long-haired cat are in and out on our large yard frequently.)The magnetic strips that come with this unit can be helpful when I have last-minute company coming for dinner so I let Eufy loose while I’m cooking and want it in that area but not under my feet. Otherwise, I simply close doors to keep it where I want it.I’ve learned how to position chairs around the dining tables (two tables with a total of 10 chairs) so Eufy can scoot around legs and under the rungs, doing a great job of cleaning under everything. It only got stuck once (hung up on a wire dog crate handle), so I’ve adjusted that. And it easily finds its way back to the base if I guide it back to the right end of the house (using the remote) when I’m done in the more distant regions.I have now “loaned” the 11 S to another family member who has little time for house-cleaning and can use Eufy’s help! (Her dogs are 70 pounds!) I purchased the 30C. The extra suction makes bird-seed pickup faster (lol). Both units do a great job! I would recommend either! I like the digital display on the 11S remote so you know what mode you’re currently using. And now the dogs ignore it, as you can see where our poodle-mix yawns as Eufy vacuums around her dog bed.

    Good product, very good value
I’ve had this robot working for 10 days. I really like it. I have hardwood floors throughout, with some area rugs of various thicknesses. One of the rugs is about 3/4″ thick, and it climbs up onto it with no trouble. It sometimes flips up the corner of a small, thin throw, but that hasn’t been much of a problem. It’s unobtrusive and pretty quiet while doing the vacuuming. When it goes home and empties the robot’s bin, it’s as loud as a regular vacuum cleaner, but that lasts less than a minute. The app is pretty intuitive and relatively easy to navigate.I had a bit of trouble getting it to pair with my wifi network. The first night, it failed all four times I tried. Each time, it said it was establishing a connection, circled the drain for a 10 minutes or so, with a progress bar that reached 60 on the best attempt, then quit. The first time, on a saturday I was only five feet away from the router, on the other side of a wall. Other times, I was right next to it. Tech help available only weekdays, so I waited until monday, but decided to give it one more try just before calling. Lo and behold! it established a connection within a minute – go figureOnce the connection was established, I told it to map the area. It takes an interesting approach. No logic I can figure out, it just seems to randomly run around, but creates a map you can track in the app. Then you can set up no-go zones and edit the map if necessary.Once while I was gone, the robot went into a small bathroom and somehow must have bumped the partially open door closed after it went in, so it was trapped. When I returned and finally found it, it was off, but had not run down its battery. I just pushed the on button and it went its merry way and finished the job. I have prevented recurrences by installing magnetic door stops on all the doors so the robot can’t bump the closed. One other time, it jammed itself in a tight spot behind a coffee table. The spot was just the right size to trap the robot. I prevented recurrences by moving the table slightly. I am running it every other day and don’t have to even think about it.

This thing is great we have 2 super shedder dogs that blow their coats in the spring and running this every 12 hours has really kept the dog fur tumbleweeds to a minimum. We have always had issues keeping up with the fur output but it’s taken care of now. The hair cutter also works great never any hair or fur wrapped around the bristles just the very ends need to be cleaned once a week or so,The only cons I see are on max power the battery drains over 1% a minute if you have a larger house you will need to run the power lower or it will need to recharge in between rooms. The filter on the dustbin is also a little on the small side so it will require cleaning more often. Likewise the dust bags in the base are not huge so we nearly filled it in a week vs the advertised 60 days when the dogs were shedding this spring. The base is also loud, like industrial shop vac loud when emptying the robot. With that said it still gets 5 stars from me, it cleans the tons of dog fur incredibly well, the app works good. It avoids everything it could get stuck/tangled in. Running it on the second highest suction it still cleans just as good and has 50% battery left when done as we have alot of hard floor. The self emptying works great just a little loud, the hair cutter works excellent and it goes at least a week without any intervention, 10 minutes of cleaning the robot a week for all the hours of vacuuming is a great trade. Will be looking at the Eufy X10 Omni in the near future when we want a mopping robot!

Got this a few weeks ago and found the device easy to set up, get the app downloaded, and so on. The only challenge I had was that I couldn’t find the Alexa skill on the Canadian store. Considering that was a big reason I got this device and not something else, that was a big drawback for me…especially since it’s one of the most touted features. Thankfully, instead of just returning the device, I reached out to their support. They originally said that it should be working in Canada, but within a day had realized what their issue was – and then set about fixing it. They kept me in the loop on the entire process of finding the issue (the Skill hadn’t been compiled with en-CA language settings, so it automatically didn’t show up in the Canadian Skill store), through to debugging (we even went back and forth on what other settings the engineers might want to proactively look at to make things better for Canadian customers) and to testing the final solution when it came live. The best parts of the experience were: 1) they recognized that I was technical enough to be able to provide value to the conversation and kept me in the loop at all parts of the process, never ‘dumbing it down’; 2) they communicated every step of the way; 3) during the ENTIRE process, they left the door open for me to return the device for a full refund, knowing that I hadn’t bought something to be delayed in using it. It was FANTASTIC customer support – the sort I wish every company had! In the end, the entire process took just a couple of days to get resolved, and now everything works great. You can tell they really want to stand behind their product, but also want to make sure your experience using the RoboVac is a positive one in every way.Fingers crossed that they stay this dedicated to their customer base as they grow, but my experience with them at this point has been fantastic.Support aside, these are some of the other pros and cons:PROS:- Super quiet (at first I thought it wasn’t picking up, but boy, was I wrong!)- Strong suction- Pretty good coverage (gets >90% of the space available to it)- Dual brushes get more at the edges and in hard-to-reach areas than the single brush that my old Roomba had- Simple setup- Easy-to-use app- Amazing support team!CONS:- No mapping functionality (but at this price point, that’s to be expected)- Iconography isn’t as simple as it could be (eg-spot clean and edge clean icons aren’t the most obvious when you first see them…but once you know what they are, they do make sense)- Would be nice if the Alexa Skill could use the name you’ve given the device, instead of the more generic “RoboVac”…but I’m just reaching here for my pie-in-the-sky list. :)OVERALL:- Great buy that we’re very happy with!PS – Since any robot vacuum with personality needs to be named (or so my wife tells me) we named ours Sukhwinder (because he sucks up dirt and he winds around obstacles!)

Our very first droid ! We named it Rosie and gave it some googly eyes! She looks super extra but she’s actually pretty basic. She does her job without complaint but sometimes she gets scared and will beep until you rescue her.The cats are determined to kill her broom but she doesn’t seem to mind. They turn her on when she sleeping but she just goes right back to bed.She doesn’t mop or self empty but she sure does suck 😂 I have a high end German canister vacuum (not a Dyson, those things are trash) that I now use to empty Rosie’s chamber lol. It’s shocking how much dust there is to collect every day . I’m grateful for the entertainment and freeing of time Rosie has brought to our home 🩷The value for money with this unit is amazing. It really does have incredible suction and hardly ever gets stuck. I was worried about floor transitions but it’s not an issue for this unit. After the first use I was horrified at the amount of dirt this thing collected but now that it’s been running for several weeks it’s a reasonable amount of daily dirt lol. We have two cats and three dogs and this things keeps the floor spec free ! My only regret it that I didn’t buy one sooner. If you want a no nonsense droid that isn’t spying on you with a camera this is the one!
