Works with my Steamdeck
Controller feels nice to hold and looks good to display. Charging is convenient and the back buttons are a nice addition for the price point. Works flawlessly with my Streamdeck. Really made for smaller hands though.

End-all, be-all, the last controller I’ll ever buy
This is the most amazing controller I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. I love the charging stand, and especially how the 2.4ghz adapter is removable from it. I can’t figure out how to map the back buttons when using it on my steam deck, although I’m sure I’m doing something wrong. Being able to seamlessly switch between 2.4 and BT is awesome, I use it with multiple devices. I haven’t used the controller on a console yet, so idk if there are any issues in that department. I keep it on the stand so I haven’t tested the battery life much, I did use it for like 6 hours straight no problem. Buttons feel really nice quality, and the hand feel is super comfortable. Coming from a xbox series controller to this, it is a tiny bit smaller. However, the series controller I have, the left stick has bad drift. Hall effect sticks are a godsend and am so glad the controller has them. Also, an incredible value in comparison to the xbox series controller, cheaper and a million times better. This is my first ever 8bitdo product, why did I not buy this sooner?! Highly recommended

Just works out the box. Zero setup.
Plugged into powered USB port on a Windows 10/11, PiOS 64bit, Batocera, Steam OS (SteamDeck), Lakka, Switchand an Andriod Phone (pixel 7). The controller dock and controller just worked instantly with no driver setup or anything (Batocera and Lakka did require I use a keyboard to select the controller in settings menu). It turns on and connects instantly when removed from the dock and turns off and charges in the same amount of time. The form factor is large enough for my sausage fingers but also comfortable for my 5 year old to use regularly.Cheaper or similarly priced to other controllers that offer less functionality and less switches to map.Unless this thing breaks or catches on fire suddenly in the future, I have nothing but praise for this controller. If it does Ill update this little review.

Great controller, just a bit too small if you have larger hands.
Iâm rating this 5 stars because for most people this will be a great controller. Unfortunately Iâll be returning mine, because itâs a good bit smaller than a standard Xbox controller and I have larger hands, so the ergonomics arenât great for me, more specifically the grips are too short. I dislike the Playstation style triggers in most games, though I will say it really shines in any driving/racing games, as you can hold the controller claw grip, and use the bumpers for shifting, and holding it claw grip eliminates the size issue, and the Playstation style triggers are great for throttle and brake control. You get a great controller with hall effect sticks, a dock, and programmable buttons for the same cost as an Xbox core controller, just be aware that itâs a bit small, and the version that I got (2.4G, no bluetooth) will NOT work with Nintendo switch, though itâs not advertised as working with it so thatâs to be expected.

Ergonomics Require Adjustment Period
This controller is clearly a premium controller, and for the price point it can’t be beat. That said, the ergonomics and size are definitely a sticking point.I’m a bigger guy, and this is a smaller controller with the handles being pretty much straight up and down instead of at an angle that keeps the wrists neutral like the Xbox core controller does and the PS DualSense controller does. Initially, there was a bit of pain and discomfort, but after playing for an hour or so, I seem t have gotten used to it. If that changes, I will update this review. The other key thing to note is that because it is a smaller controller, the buttons are smaller. This also has taken some getting used to. However, what I appreciate about the controller as a whole is that it seems to blend the best parts of both the DualSense and the Xbox core controller. It has the triggers and bumpers from the DualSense, obviously without the adaptiveness, as well as the joysticks. The buttons are from the Xbox core controller as is the D-pad. Everything is super responsive, and it paired up immediately with my computer.Another thing worth noting is that while there is a 2.4GHz dongle, it is seated in the charging base and if you leave it in there and instead plug the base into your computer with the included cord, the computer will recognize it and the controller will turn on when you pick it up off the charger and turn off when you put it back down. Small thing but definitely a quality of life feature.Time will tell on whether I end up sticking with this or not. I will provide an update if I end up returning it or not using it anymore.

Playing different games on PC (such as Rocket League or any racing game) usually means that you’re gonna be using a controller (unless you have the money for a racing sim, which I do not). So, after my Xbox One controller crapped out on me, I did a bit of research and found that this controller existed. Two things that drew me to it were the programmable paddle-like buttons on the back and the charging dock. The controller has been a pleasure to use ever since I got it. The joysticks feel great to use and doesn’t lose any responsiveness or feedback. The vibration motors are adjustable, so if you want more or less vibration, you can choose that side as well. There are a couple things that you should be aware of: first is that you will need to download 8BitDo’s software to create profiles so that you can use the programmable buttons on the back, and that sometimes, those profiles don’t work unless you plug the controller directly to the USB-C cable. Recently, the profiles still work without a cable being plugged in, so I’m not totally sure if the profiles will work for you or not, but plugging the controller in will be your best bet to make sure that it works. All in all, it’s a great controller for the price and I’d definitely recommend getting it as a controller replacement or as a first controller as well, especially for racing games without a full sim setup.(P.S. it also works on the Nintendo Switch without issues)
