Does all you’d expect of it
I purchased the Yamaha MG10XU for my podcasting audio mixing and to give gain to my Microphones. Its a better all around option than buying cloud lifters and external audio recording devices. Everything runs through my computer and I can record on my hard drive. This device allows me to interphase it with my computer and I can use it for my audio on my virtual streaming platform. I’ve already had experience with the MG12XU as the sound and video technician for my Spiritual Center in Los Angeles. The MG10XU fits on my home studio office desk perfectly. Its close to everything (Mics, computer, and other sound devices) so I don’t need long cables and adaptors for my connections. This also makes wire management easier. Seeing what this device is capable of I have gotten additional ideas to enhance my audio experience. This device does all I expected and even a few things more.

Highly Recommend
I play at least two gigs per week and have used this mixer at every one of them for the past 3 years or so. I have nothing but positive things to say about the build quality. Nothing feels cheap with this mixer compared to Behringer or Mackie and other cheap brands. It offers a large selection of effects and great sound quality. To give you an idea of how durable this thing is, I have had it soaked with water twice and after letting it dry out for a day or so each time it still works perfectly. First was a 32oz restaurant cup full of ice water and the second was a styrofoam cup about half full with water. Again, still works perfectly. Not sure how it would do with coke or liquor but I’m sure I will figure that out eventually. It also has great power supply and an on/off switch which can sometimes be nonexistent with mixers of this size.If you are a serious musician, DJ, or simply looking for a quality board, I would definitely recommend this one over a cheaper alternative. Iâve had Behringer and Mackie boards, and they donât hold up simply from regular use. (Not including 2 separate water spills like the Yamaha)Again, you will be much happier with this one in the long run and it will save you money because you arenât having to spend 150 bucks on a new mixer every year or so.The only downside to this board is that there are no monitor level knobs for each individual channel, which can be inconvenient if you are using this for a band. It does have a monitor out with a single volume control but you essentially get the same volume of each channel as it is coming out of the main mix. Not a dealbreaker for me as I play solo a good bit, but something to think about if you will be running monitors for other folks you are playing with.
