Works great
I wonder if this is a frequently returned item because it takes a small amount of fiddling with the wiring. Iâm sharing my photo because a photo from a different review was very helpful to me. I installed in about 5 minutes. Only tip I would add: when you slap the nest face back on it and plug it in, just give it a minute to figure out that it has power. My batteries were low and shut off the face while I was installing this product. I was worried I shorted it or something because it became unresponsive but it just needed to gain some âjuiceâ and wake up.

Works, but it took some finagling!
Works, but it took some finagling! This took several tries of removing and re-wiring until all of the connections worked. But now it’s working great. This was a perfect solution for a unit with a missing C wire. The key was wrapping part of the split wire with the existing A wire (2 wires in A port), and the other into the C port.
