With various 1/4″ and 3/8″ mounting points strategically placed, I can easily attach accessories like an external monitor, microphone, LED lights, and more, allowing me to customize my setup according to the requirements of my shoots. This versatility has significantly improved the quality of my video productions. The Left-Side Wood Handle is an absolute joy to use. FIts Camera and adds tons of fucntionality
Fit my t3i perfect and does not impact the battery door. Adds so much functionality for adding any other gear to your camera. I even realized I could now mount my camera 90 degrees on my tripod using the side rod. I recommend using this on a tripod with a quick release plate, but it is not necessary. The cage adds a nice amount of heft to the camera making handheld work even more enjoyable. The wood grip is very nice. The side handle can loosen over a long period of time, but not to the point where your camera will be in danger. Once you notice its loose, just tighten it down again and its rock solid all day. It will help stabilize your handheld shots, not like a gimbal or slider obviously, but it noticeably helps. I added a top handle attachment for even more grip options. Makes your camera look even better too.

Good flexible starter cage
It’s solid enough for a cheap rig– but the screw holes dont have much give and its easier than on other cages i’ve used to accidentally break off a screw, leaving a hole unusable. This is obviously something that can be fixed with being careful, but we all make mistakes. Also: factor into the cost all the accessories you’ll need, starting with a top handle. I’m also not a huge fan of how the included wooden grip handle feels, as aesthetically pleasing as it may be– it needs a little more depth. All in all, surprisingly sturdy and the price is right– worth the extra $20 over those box-cages if you’re just getting started.

Working great
So far this has been a really good buy for me. I have been able to rig out my camera with everything I need and this cage has worked out great and also looks amazing with the wood handle.

Includes two rods (a long and a short) so it can be used with whatever camera you’d like. Tons of mounting positions
Solid, thoughtful design. Very stable. Includes two rods (a long and a short) so it can be used with whatever camera you’d like. Tons of mounting positions, bolts are secure. Very very minimal play in the handle.AND!It works perfectly with the Sony A6300. You’re welcome. See the attached photo for what I mean! I added the cold shoe from HDVATE in the image, but seriously, every 6300 owner needs one of these for handheld work. With an IOS lens, one hand on the wood grip, one hand on the camera grip…tons of stability. Cleans the battery door perfectly, but you’ll need to remove the rubber eye cup.

Perfect fit for my Sony FDR-AX53
Plenty of screw holes to attach any camera plate, also the handle is a must to keep the balance when going handheld.Just installed a camera mount and 2 two camera plates, one to hold the camera and the other to mount the rig in to the tripod.ð

Awesome Cage for the Lumix gc85
I use this with my Lumix GX85. The build quality is great! Does not feel flimsy and you have the ability to adjust the cage to your liking. Another really great feature about this cage is the wooden handle. The gx85 is a fairly small camera and with larger hands this camera can definitely feel more delicate than what it actually is. So, with the wooden handle, you just have that extra layer of security if youâre afraid of accidentally dropping your camera. Definitely a great buy! Highly recommend ðð½

Extremely nice, excellent build quality
The entire small rig line are very well designed and made camera gear. I have nearly 100 of the small rig parts and they fit flawlessly and are perfectly machined and finished. The aluminum anodize is very nice and holds up well under use.

It does ship with the longer side tube. Side handle comes loose easy. Nothing a bit of loctite wonât fix.Works on Lumix G9 with no issues.

Due to DSLRs having only one ,ounting point at the bottom and the top cold shoe, there is a tendency for them to twist when mounted in this cage. Still, it behaves as expected. I’ve used it in over 450 shoots!

As mentioned in the headline, the cage is amazing. Asides from the handle, I find it to be perfect in every way. However, the side handle is SO LOOSE. It wobbles when I shake it and then frees itself from being tight almost a few seconds after I re-tighten it. if anything, I would like to see the handle problem fixed.
