Compact, high quality unit, SUPER easy ink refills, great value, fast print and good color. I’ve lived with 2 printers and moved them between 5 states. A laser printer for good, fast, low cost prints and an all in one ink jet. It was a total pain, they were both big, both have me headaches, heavy and I needed 2. FINALLY, FINALLY I have 1 printer to replace both, do anything I might need and the ink refills MAKE SENSE! Imagine that?! Haha. A printer that doesn’t come with just enough ink to print a test page, but comes with 2 full years with of COLOR ink! This is the way forward and thank you HP for going this route. The idea that buying a new printer is cheaper than buying ink refills warms my heart because there are so many printers that end up in landfills, not to mention how much of a consumer headache it is. I will say that I had concerns regarding color print quality and that it might be messy to refill. I’ll put your mind at ease – impressive color print quality, speed and adding ink couldn’t be easier! (Idk how this printer would travel while full, but everything seems tight and sealed) Overall I couldn’t be happier with the end result. The cost, functions, ease of use and low ongoing ink cost are 100% with it in my opinion. I forgot to mention that I’ve never found a personal or work printer that was easy to use wirelessly. I’d have a headache adding the printer to my PC or couldn’t get a crappy app to work. Once I did, I’d get error codes or a jam… Idk, I’m very techy but that’s been my experience. This HP worked without issue and the app was very straightforward. I haven’t tried advanced options but it does what I need… It just works! I did try scanning and they was fast and easy as well. I have the printer on a 6ft hutch, so fingers crossed everything continues to work and I won’t have to bust out the step ladder 6x like I used to.

There is a touch screen on the unit for basic intuitive functions, but majority of the settings and customization are found in the smartphone app and easy to use.Weâve had no issues wirelessly connecting our phones or laptops to the device to print anything, and one of the things we are looking forward to soon is printing photos directly from our phones onto glossy paper. Plenty of moments we want to capture of our infant.Refilling the ink tanks are easy and not messy like I assumed itâd be. The bottles insert upside down onto the tankâs prong with a click to know itâs secure and itâs good to go.The scanner flips open and does the job quite well with high quality. You can even use the smartphone app to scan something and print it directly as well.Weâve done plenty of research on other printers and found this the overall best pick for our business printing needs from home.Thank you for your time! Wireless hookup is impossible.
My Brother all in one printer was on its last legs after 12 years. This HP Smart Tank 7602 seemed like the perfect fit to replace it. Even better was the fact that it was offered at a substantial discount. I really liked the idea of being able to buy bottles of ink as needed. The printer is a beauty and set up easily right out of the box. The printing was great, and the speed was acceptable. For the first 3 days I was patting myself on the back for making such a good decision. This is where the problems began. It said it was hooked to Wi-Fi but none of my devices could see it anymore. I fought this problem for the next couple of weeks. Every time I would get it to work, it would only be for a few days at the most. I finally enlisted my daughter and granddaughter to work some magic on this printer. They finally had to call HP for help. Hallelujah, it was working again. I was a happy guy for about a week at which point it ceased to function again. I had pretty much decided to give up and send it back when I called HP for help again. They were not able to get it working. They suggested calling Spectrum to make changes to my router. Spectrum did not agree that this would help but gave us another idea. The router was only about 3 feet from the printer so why not wire it direct. Bingo, problem solved again. We’ll see how it goes but I haven’t had to throw this printer out the door or send it back. No, I would not recommend it to a friend. Enemy, maybe?Update: Down again after only 2 more days. It’s going back while I still have some hair left on my head.

prints on greeting card stock
I just received the HP 7602 printer and had some reservations after reading some of the negative reviews. I took a chance and purchased it anyway and so far have been pleased with the performance. I already have an Epson Eco Tank 3850 printer which does a pretty good job with the exception of the less than great print quality. It also is tricky to set up to print on greeting card stock and that is something I was hoping for with the HP 7602. Well I tried it and was pleased that it was easy to set up the paper selection and the print quality was very good. So far I am pleased with the selection and one other reason I went this way was that I have an old HP Office Jet Pro 8715 that requires very expensive ink cartridges whereas the 7602 uses refillable ink tanks that are touted to last over a year of printing.I will let you know if the 7602 gives me any problems as time goes by.

My previous HP printer finally had its last days, and I decided I would try an Ink Tank printer from all the good I’ve heard about them. This printer is super easy to setup, and the print quality is perfect. I had also debated on getting a laser printer because of their fast printing, but this printer is absolutley a speed demon. Love it, and highly recommend!!!

Overall a good printer. Even tough from a tech point of view it is only an incremental inovation … the printer is still using cartriges that are filled as it needs from the tank.Some of us remember the day when we were re-filling the cartriges with ink using a syringe to cut ink cost …. so I’m not sure how the smart tank solution is that innovative. Remain to be seen how often these cartriges have to be changed.From an environmental point of view, I have doubts that this is the best solution. I think HP can and should do better!Then the firmware that the printer comes with seems to be buggy. The WebService & firmware upgrade did not worked from the HP Smart.That forced me to do an upgrade from the PC and I got the dreaded 8AF300001 firmware error.Kudos to ‘Ryan S’ that wrote in his review how to recover the printer. It did worked – I had to try several times until I got the maitenance screen, since the red ‘X’ button did not react well.Afterwards, the WedService worked & the firmware tool from the HP Smart showed the latest firmware version, etc …I did not get dirty with ink when I purred in the tanks but I did got dirty when I put the cartriges in.Otherwise the printer seems of good quality. A bit noisy at startup/shutdown.
