Finally! Counters fluorescent office lighting so I don’t look like a green, dark ball.
I have fluorescent lighting in my office. And it makes my complexion look much green and grey. It was a distracted me to see myself looking so green while on for Zoom calls when in the office. (I added a photo of me wearing green so that you can see what I look like under normal lighting – warm and daylight bulbs.)Adding a ring light helped, but the light only turned my complexion back to orange/brown on the side of my face closer to the light. And it was distracting the see the light shining bright to try and counter the green skin effect. (I added a photo showing this. As you can see, half of my face is still in the dark. I opted not to post the photo with no lights on… but picture my whole face looking like the dark gray/green side.) I also wasn’t happy with because I had to turn the light all the way up and then I could see the bright light in front of me the entire time it was on. And, I felt that I still looked somewhat off.So then I added this light. I love the fact that I can reposition it so that it is not on my monitor, it looks better on my desk than a 3 legged tripod, and it does not block my view of the tabletop mirror that I keep next to my monitor to check my appearance. Most importantly, it’s a bright glow that lights up most of my face while still elevated upwards so that it does not bother me. (So, as you can see from the photo, my face just has some shadow but less than with the ring light.)Finally, when I used my old light as a fill light to counter the shadows along with this one, the warmest light not only counters the green grey fluorescent lighting, but also, it activates that built in beauty filter in Zoom (“Touch Up My Appearance” setting) making me look much younger and much better. So… bonus!So, if it’s not obvious, I REALLY love this light. It’s such a relief to finally find such a simple and elegant solution for when I need to be on camera. It really is nice to have the larger, evenly lit panel than a small light or a ring light.

Whether you’re an influencer or you’re just on a work Zoom, this is great!
I hate ring lights because they get a bad rap by IG influencers, but this is the only one I’ve seen that works for business Zooms that flatters everyone’s skin tone. The large circle fits on a table or desk, has three different “shades” (I’d say one is soft white like a portrait studio, one is rosy light, and the other is more of an orange/reddish), and each can be clicked up or down to make more or less intense. The only annoyance (and I just use this for conference Zooms and Teams, but this might be a problem if you use this for a company or YouTube), is the body of the light moves up and down, and there’s no real way to tighten it. You screw the base into the body of the light and tilt the light how you want it, but if you wanted to raise the “pole” of the light, I couldn’t figure out how to get it higher than the lowest level. It didn’t bother me, but it might bother others. I’d say buy this as a “beginner” ring light before dropping a lot of money on more expensive ones.

EMF was too strong for me
I ordered this for an online lecture I was holding, the reviews all looked good. I received it the same day, all parts were working, easy to assemble, the product seemed to be of good quality. I liked the color settings (warm, neutral, cool light) and the light intensity setting. All seemed perfect.Then I sat down at my desk to do a practice run through of my lecture, turned the light on and after a few minutes of talking I noticed a familiar buzzing in my brain. I am mildly EMF sensitive, though I try not to pay too much attention to the issue. The buzzing felt like an EMF reaction. I turned the light off – the buzzing disappeared. I turned it on again – it returned. I decided to do the lecture without the light.As I said I am mildly EMF sensitive, so most people probably won’t notice anything, but if you are EMF sensitive then having that size of light screen right in front of your brain will probably be something your body has a reaction to. I think a smaller light and probably a ring light would be much better for EMF sensitive people.This was the only issue, I will be returning it but would have kept it if I wasn’t sensitive.

It is a good concept. Unfortunately, it has a mind of its own. Even plugged in, it won’t turn on. And when it’s turned on, it suddenly goes off.
