Awesome NESS!
These recessed lights are absolutely awesome! Easy to install. The light dims to different shades of color white. The size was a universal fit. From the install so far I love them! The nightlight ring around the outside gives a very nice ambience. From bright light to low lighting. So nice I’m buying more. The cans are durable not something cheap. I recommend!

Great Product
In looking at some of the longer reviews I feel these lights are getting some unfair comments. First the build quality is very good, I had mine installed by an electrician and he liked them as well. The comment I read about them running hot and possibly melting is not something I experienced. I tested one for an hour before installing it and with a laser thermometer the hottest spot I could find was 118 degrees fahrenheit which is warm to the touch but certainly not hot. I’m not worried that the heat output will be an issue. During the initial installation there was a sync problem but I have six on one circuit, two on another and one on a third. With a few on and offs they all started working correctly and have consistently worked together switching between the main light and the ring. Both the main light and the ring are dimmable which is a nice feature and with my lutron smart dimmer the switch will remember the brightness level and apply it to both options. I don’t see any flickering with my smart dimmer switch which was a problem with the LED bulbs I replaced with these lights. The set of six is on a two pole switch and it works fine. The 5-6 model has springs that adjust out with a set screw for my six inch cans. All of them fit fine and locked into place with no issues with them falling down. These lights are a good value for the money.

Great 90% of the timeâ¦
I ended up ordering two boxes of 12 of these lights plus an additional single light. If you can buy in bulk, itâs worth it, but the price of just one seems really high. I love almost everything about these lights. I love the nightlight setting, and I love how they look in place of the can lights we had. They were super easy to install but out of the 25 we ordered, about three or four of them were defective. One of them caused a fuse to blow. We set that one aside. In another room, I have 11 on the same light switch. 10 of these are always in sync with each other, but one keeps getting knocked out of sync. We have done everything and followed all the instructions to reset it so many times. I reached out to the manufacture and never heard back so we have one light that sits opposite of the other 10 constantly. Another one came with a dent in the side of it, but we figured nobody would be looking too closely at them and installed it anyway. We have two more outside our front door that also seem to be out of sync with each other. No matter how many times we reset those, one always wants to be opposite the other. Again, we follow the reset instructions to get it back in sync but sure enough, the next time we turn them on, one is in nightlight mode. It wouldâve been nice to get a response from the manufacturer but I guess we will just constantly switch lights on and off until theyâre all back on.

Finally a replacement light that works with H**O brand cans
I have the H**O Cans which came with 3500 warm lights, I’m getting a little old now and need the bright white to see better. I found one set that I thought would work, and they kind of did but I had to modify them a lot and even with that they only stayed up in the rooms with valted ceilings. So after days of searching I found these which allow you to adjust the width of the wire holders.If you have the 6″ H**O’s then (from my experience) only the replacements that allow you to adjust the tension wires to 6″ span will work. The others will not snug up to the ceiling and you’ll have an ugly gap, or if they do snug up the stress will cause the plastic tabs to break in short time and then they’ll be dangling like mine.If you look in the last few pictures these lights snaped up tight by themselves without me having to shove on them. The shadow makes it appear as though there might be a gap, but that is only the shadow. They are tight and have no gaps.As for functioning, they’re great. I didn’t bother to post pictures of them working – plenty of others here have already done that, but the brightness (6000) is perfect for me to work by and the dimmer to find my way around in the middle of the night.I really like these lights, and now I have to order a few more boxes to do the rest of the house.Hope this helps anyone who is struggling with the H**O Cans like I was.

Astonishingly cool lights, easy to install.
Stellar value and really easy to install (replaced all the fixtures on the main floor in an hour with an injured shoulder- no problems). Could use slightly better instructions, but not difficult to figure out.

Lasted all of 2 weeks – find a more reliable brand
We really liked these lights, especially when we put them in the living room being able to turn the halo lights on during TV/Movies, etc.. looked nice and provided just enough light. However, we found that when used with a dimmer, smart or standard, the lights would become out of sync.. most would switch to reg or halo together, but one would be the opposite. I changed the dimmer switch to a basic dimmer instead of the Kasa Smaert Dimmer we initially used. That didn’t fix it.. then, one of the lgilightsths just stopped working. We checked it in another, separate outlet, and it would light very dimly, fading in and out.. so.. looks like these lasted 2-3 weeks.. so frustrating. And.. these are all installed in 11′ ceilings,. so getting them all down is gonna be fun, again.

Retrofits are so easy to install. Like being able to adjust light briteness (kelvin). We had spotlight bulbs always seemed dark in our kitchen thought about adding more lights but after putting these in we don’t need to. We are SO pleased with these. We only needed 10 lights but got the 12 so we would have ones if needed. You can’t go wrong.
