I received this item at no cost for review.I was surprised how good the quality of this fill light was for the price. At time of review this item was being sold for $20.99 on sale from the regular asking price of $29.99, I would have expected this to have cost at least $49.The light has a built in 3000mAh battery, so you don’t have to worry about having annoying cables or having to find a power outlet when you are out and about. As a standalone unit, it does have a built in diffuser which is just okay, however supplied along with the fill light is a milk white silicone diffuser (packaged with it attached) which can be used for extra light diffusion. This cover also allows you to insert colored gels, 6 different colors are provided, each of which have a protective film on them that you should remove prior to first use.The light is also pretty lightweight, due to it being an all plastic construction, with the exception for the brass screw mounts. It is sized small enough that without the silicone diffuser it can fit nicely in your back pocket and it’s light enough to be tossed in your back pack or camera gear case.The unit is feature packed, it has tripod mounts on two sides so it can be mounted either horizontally or vertically to most common tripods. It also comes with an angle adjustable clamp so you can clamp it to your laptop screen or phone and has a hole in the clamp so it doesn’t obscure the front facing camera (tested with Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra), also included is a hot shoe adaptor so you can mount it to a DSLR camera.On the side of the light there is a power switch, and two dials. One dial adjusts the light temperature and the other the brightness. 60 of the LEDs are bright white and 60 are warm White and when you adjust the temperature dial it appears to slowly shift between the 2 sets of LEDs for super fine control of the temperature of your fill light. This light can be almost blinding on full white brightness without the silicone diffuser, so be warned. There is also a green led battery indicator that estimates how much power is left and also blinks while charging.It charges via a USB-A to USB-C cable (provided) and took approximately 2 hours to fully charge. Charge time may differ depending on your charger. After a full charge and with the light on full white setting, it stayed on for exactly 2 hours before cutting out. It does not come with a charger.Overall a great product for a great price. If you are wanting to up your selfie game or do travel vlogging, or beauty and makeup videos, this is a must have accessory. It would also be great for a camping light, or in case of a power outage. It can fill a good size room with nicely diffused light with ease.I have been doing professional photography for some 15 years, and I can honestly say this is a very useful product, and yields flattering results especially for this price. It’s best used at fairly close range to your subject.My only criticism is that the silicone feel diffuser attracts dust and dirt really easily. However it can be washed with warm soapy water and looks like new again.

This light works great. The total light output is more than enough for my indoor needs. It is very easy to adjust the brightness and temperature settings. The silicon diffuser does a nice job. It is a little larger than it needs to be though. To get different colors such as blue etc, you have to put clear colored film between the light and the diffuser. It is easy to do but there is more space than needed to hold the colored sheet. Doesn’t hurt anything just doesn’t make it feel like it’s completely made for this light. It does have cut outs in it for all the controls and such so it’s kind of weird. The clip it came with works fine but its cheap plastic and didnt really fit my needs but the light easily attached to some of my other clamps and I just use those.

Over the last three weeks, I have had multiple opportunities to use the light for online meetings. My office has a window right beside me, which means a lot of sunlight. That side of me is well lit up but it creates a real contrast shadow on the other side. I tried using a different ring light that was meant to be clamped on a phone for taking selfies, but it lacked power, and there are no options for colour control. This made a huge difference.It works well is easy to control with the power switch, colour control, and brightness control all on one side. Where I had, and still have, problems is mounting. While the kit includes a clamp, it does not open wide enough to fit onto my monitors. It just barely opens wide enough, but when I let go because it doesn’t sit far enough onto the monitor, it wants to pop off. I had to McGyver an attachment that fits onto the shelf sitting a few inches above and behind the main monitor. I was then able to make up a system where I could fasten the clamp via a screw and large washer in a position where the light is behind and just to the side of my camera. It works well, but look’s kind of Hillbilly Esque.⺠I have it mounted about 2 feet from my head and run it at about 30% to 40% brightness. Any higher than this and I see spots for at least an hour after a meeting ends. Even as it is now, I would still like to move this further back to avoid the “spot” effect.â While I personally have no use for the coloured covers, it was interesting to play with them and imagine how they might be used in meetings this coming Halloween.â The silicone cover is a nice to have add-on. If I were using this on a camera (the kit includes a mount that fits a camera’s flash mount), dropping it would be a concern every time it was placed onto or removed from the camera. The cover is thick enough that it will probably provide good protection even if the fall is 4 feet.â As with most electronic items, this uses a USB-C connection for charging. A short cable is included for those who don’t already have a drawer full of them.While the battery is capable of running the light at about half power, where I have it set, for a few hours, I’ve got a USB cable plugged into it so that after being in multiple meetings, I’m not left with a dead battery by late afternoon. While there are four green LEDs on the top, the edge where the 1/4-inch thread mount is, they are hidden on my setup because I have to have the light inverted to make this work for me.The user manual is well written in real English and does a good job of explaining how to use the light and it’s various options.After working with it I can see how easily this would be useable in various situations. Overall, I’m very happy with the light and its capabilities.

This review is for the 120 LED Phone Light, 3000Mah Rechargeable Selfie Light by Ultra Clarity CablesI don’t d the selfie thing, so I chuckled at the description of this light being for selfies. I do however, use it to assist with front-face lighting for my laptop computer at the office. Our iffice has some weird windows and the building orientation means I need to either have the blinds open and full-sun exposure behind me, resulting in a completely washed-out image when i am on Teams and Zoom conference calls, or I have to have the blinds closed to prevent this wash out, but with dim LED lighting overhead, resulting in a very dim image where I cannot be easily seen.This light is the perfect remedy for this, and as a bonus is portable and can travel with me in the laptop bag when it is not clipped t the top of one of the two monitors I use when I am docked in the office.There are several things to like about this LED “selfie” light: -relatively compact -3000 mAh battery built in provides a decent amount of life -both cool and warm white LEDs are included and you can fade between the two to achieve a colour temperature to your needs -on/off switch and two dimmer/colour rotating switches allow you to adjust both eth brightness of the light and the warmth/coolness colour temperature to achieve the desired amount and colour of lighting -standard mounts on two sides of the product allow you to mount the light on a horizontal or vertical orientation -comes with a screw-in clip that is intelligently designed with a hole in the middle of the clip so if you mount this on a laptop or over top of your front-facing camera on your phone, it does not block the camera -comes with several colour filters that can be installed in behind a white rubber shield which serves to both diffuse light and act as a protector of the actual LEDsFor the asking price of $36 Cdn at time of review, this is definitely a well-priced light that competes with many higher-priced options. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

This compact fill light surpasses my expectations, providing excellent lighting for your tablet, phone, or other devices.The package includes the light panel, a white silicone diffuser cover, a clamp mount, a camera boot mount, six colored films, and a short USB-A to C charging cable.The light unit features mounting holes on both its long and short edges, enabling vertical or horizontal positioning. These standard screw mounts can also be utilized with a tripod.The light panel itself is quite thin. The white diffuser adheres to the top, creating a gap between the light panel and the surface, doubling its thickness while facilitating LED bulb diffusion. The silicone diffuser performs exceptionally well, producing a soft, diffused light devoid of harsh bulb spots. Additionally, it incorporates cutouts to ensure accessibility of all light panel components, including controls, battery indicator, screw mounts, and charging port.The controls are conveniently located on the unitâs side. A power switch and two rotary wheels enable adjustable brightness and color temperature. The wheels provide precise, variable control, allowing for fine-tuning of each aspect to the desired level. The light output is notably strong at its maximum brightness.I have primarily utilized the clamp mount, which performs satisfactorily. The rubber lining on the clamps ensures device protection and grip, while adjustable notches allow for modification of the light angle. However, I would prefer the absence of notches, as they restrict the range of adjustment angles to vertical, approximately 45 degrees forward, and 90 degrees. I ordered this 120 LED camera light and was fairly impressed with its features and accessories.What I Liked:Accessories Included: The package comes with six color gels (red, pink, yellow, green, blue, and purple), a silicone case, a camera shoe attachment, a spring-loaded clip, and a 1-foot-long USB-A to USB-C charging cable. The color gels can also be used with this light to create specific ambience, depending on the color you choose.Battery Life: It has a battery indicator to show remaining power. In my testing, the battery lasted about two hours before dying, though I didnât time it exactly. After disassembling and testing, the battery capacity checked out at 3000mAh (11.1Wh), as advertised.Adjustable Settings: The light allows you to adjust both color temperature and brightness using separate wheels on the side, making it versatile.Diffusion: The silicone case does a good job of diffusing the light for softer results, which is great for selfies or close-ups.Room for Improvement:While the light isnât the brightest, it works well for casual use or as a supplementary light source .To showcase its capabilities, Iâm including a picture of my cats taken with the light set to its warmest setting. It added a cozy, warm ambient tone that made the shot look greatI also included a shot with the light set to its coolest setting and with a red filter.Additional Note:I shopped around and noticed similar lights with comparable specifications being sold for much cheaper. I ordered several similar fill lights before finding this one. Somebody finally figured out how to make a decent unit that illuminates those hard to light subjects.It arrived with very thorough instructions, a white light diffuser, 6 diffuser tinted color gels, dual USB-C charge cable, phone/tablet clip mount, and an insulated SLR hot shoe mount (see photo). The latter is quite rare. It is perfectly adjustable (see photos) and solidly constructed. The part that slides into the shoe’s electrical contacts is plastic, so no danger of shorting out the camera’s electronics.Initial charge on the internal battery was about 75%. Hard to tell because it does not have a digital readout. It took just over 60 minutes to top up. As opposed to my dedicated flash unit, there’s no waiting for it to charge between still shots. I was pleasantly surprised at how bright it was – perfect for fast moving action within 15 feet (3.5 meters) or so. Controls for brightness and colour temperature are rotary dials rather than buttons. MUCH more convenient way to make changes on the fly.Also a pleasant surprise was the white silicone diffuser that it came with. Sometimes direct illumination is too harsh and this gives you some creative choices. The six coloured gels it comes with slip into a pocket at the front. See my photo of the rose filter in action. My only wish for version 2 of this near-perfect unit is that it pivot to bounce light off the ceiling. That’s another way to reduce harsh direct lighting and produce more natural shadows.This fill light unit has earned a permanent place in my camera bag. Highly recommended.
