lightweight and easy to adjust– shelves DO slide
The shelves slip easily in–and out– of this organizer. (They stay put well unless something gets stuck to them.) This 100% met my needs for an organizer for tools and supplies in my work space. It would absolutely work well for papers, too. It’s lightweight but sturdy.I wanted shelves a bit farther apart, so I doubled up the shelves in two slots– the grooves are wide enough to accommodate two shelves stacked. This gave me more room between the shelves so I can organize supplies and equipment in my sewing workroom.As an unexpected benefit, the shelves do contain some iron or other magnet-friendly material. So I secured one shelf vertically to the side of the organizer and use it as a magnet board. I stick anything magnetic to it, and use it to organize metal tools like scissors. It’s not a standard use, but for those thinking outside the box I wanted to mention that the material WILL stick to magnets.
