Works great
For some reason, I lost my charger to my Kindle and needed a new charger. This one works really good and itâs nice and long so if I need to charge my Kindle, I can still read while Iâm in bed.

After verifying its compatibility with my Kindle , cord wouldnât charge completely.
I verified this was compatible with my Kindle. Very disappointed with quality. After using with my kindle, it would charge to a certain point 65%, then shut down. Ended up taping my original cord with continues to charge to 100%. Glad I kept my original cable just in case. Iâm past 30 day window return, so throwing this cable out.Update: After more analysis I determined that the Kindle port may be the issue. We carefully placed the Kindle on flat surface and ensured the cable was properly seated. The lightning bolt in the battery remained on indicating that the charge had connected properly. The Kindle charged to 99%. So now we know we need to be careful positioning the cable and the port. I revised to a 5 star because the cable is functioning as it was designed.

Love it
When cleaning I recently found my old kindle, but no power cord. This works fine and I now have a tablet I keep in my purse just as an ebook

Replacement Charging Cord
Good length. Tight fit into the Kindle Fire. Worth the effort.

Yes, this worked for a Kindle from 2017/2018 for me
Got a Kindle around 2017/2018, and needed a new charger. So this one has worked, thankfully.

Charging Only, Not for Data Transfer
My old kindle cable broke when my kindle fell while hooked up for data transfer. So I purchased this cord to replace that cord. This is charging only and will not transfer data, so I’ll have to purchase a data transfer cable. I should have looked at the finer details. This looks just like the original that came with my kindle.

It DID light up – momentarily – but then it didn’t
New review: Try this – plug your cord into your Kindle, holding the cord tautly so that the charging light stays lit – yellow – then wrap the cord around your Kindle, starting at the back of the Kindle, continuing to hold it taut so the yellow light stays lit – wrap the cord vertically around the Kindle and then with the Kindle standing vertically (on top of the cord wrapped around twice), it seems to help hold the plug in the charging receptacle. Magnifique! It continued to charge and now the light is green, indicating that it is fully charged. Try it, just for the heck of it!It DID light up – momentarily! I was so hopeful and happy when it first lit up – but then the light went off again. I would have to hold it in place to keep it lit up. Can’t just plug it in and leave it on the table top to recharge. My theory is that manufacturers of these items are striving to make things lighter with less material, so the plug itself is too light in weight to stay in place. You need more weight in the plug so that the tip does not fall out. Do you see what I am saying? Or is there some kind of clamp to hold it in place? Maybe make a sort of bracket which fits very tightly on the Kindle so that the part where the plug is located stays put. My Mom got her first Kindle in 2009 and used it so much, doing Thread Words plus reading all the Sue Grafton novels plus reading the Bible every day . . . then she and I each got “new” Kindles (which were actually the older model that we found online on which you could still play things with “active content” like Thread Words). It seems like the outlet itself is “worn” really, where it won’t hold the plug – I wish there was some way to fix that part. Amazon, Mr. Bezos, you would make a lot of customers happy if you would have a new Kindle that provided “active content” for those of us who like to play Thread Words and the old Solitaire games plus various Oak products, like chess. The rationale given is that the “active content” uses more battery time than used for just reading but maybe we want to be able to play our little games, too and are okay with recharging.

I have been looking for a new lead for my original Kindle but without much luck.I found this on amazon and thought I’d give it a try as the reviews were positive. It came very promptly and ghe packaging was good.Worked straight away. It has a long lead which is useful.I’m so pleased as means I can still use my kindle even though I’ve had it years.Good value for money too.
