Decent Choice for a Space-Saving Keyboard
If you’re like me and not a serious pianist or keyboardist, AND you lack space for a full size keyboard, this folding keyboard might be ideal for you! I took years of piano lessons as a teenager and at one time I was quite a serious player. Decades later though, I have a career and family and very little time to play. Still, I find that I want to play a few songs or just relax and play some music. I do not have space for a full size keyboard and it’s not something I want set up in my room full time. This was the perfect option. The keyboard is very light weight and folds up very easily. Do not expect a professional keyboard feel or sound with this item. It is neither. However, it’s great for keeping your fingers nimble and for scratching the itch to play once in awhile.The included headphones are low quality, which is to be expected so be prepared with your own if you need them. I haven’t tried the recording function nor have I downloaded the app that is recommended. Bluetooth connection works well with bluetooth enabled headphones. Overall, this keyboard is a decent, space-saving option at a fair price range.

Great way to have a full size key board
This keyboard is full size and pretty good quality. Because of its size, it is a little difficult to pull out and put away but it’s not too bad. I do wish there were a handle on the keyboard itself to make it easier to lift and move when not in the bag. The keyboard has lots of different sound functions and takes some reading the instructions and playing around with it to get familiar with it all. I still haven’t used the full recording function but we did use the quick record function that allows you to record something and then play it back. The sound isn’t great on it but it is passable for using it to practice or play in a non-professional setting. The bag that it comes with holds all the accessories it comes with except the headphones. The headphones are not very good. If you really like good sound with your headphones, use something else. This is overall a pretty good keyboard. I can’t say how it compares to others on price but this is worth having for the pianist that wants a full size keyboard and wants to play in many different spaces.

So So Quality and Ultra Stiff Keys Make This A Poor Choice for Beginners
I actually really love the idea of this piano. Most MIDI keyboards are shorter scale, so they’re not as useful for pianists requiring extended range. The fact that this can easily fold and store in its included case is a welcome innovation, and for its part, I’d say the mechanism works reasonably well.The 88 key range feels very close to what you’d expect on a full size keyboard, so for those who already know how to play proficiently, there should be virtually no learning curve there.That, however, is also the downside of this model.I think it’s really better suited to a relatively advanced user, not a beginner. There’s a perception that something that is lower priced or lacking in features is for “beginners”, but I think that’s a misperception. For someone to truly “learn” the instrument, there are some features that should be non-negotiable – the fully weighted keys being one of them, rather than the heavy, stiff semi-weighted ones here.As an intermediate player myself, I found it very difficult to play with any sort of expression or accuracy because you have to push so hard and so deliberately on the keys that it takes a lot of concentration and dexterity to play. Even then, you’re having to hammer the keys so hard that it makes it sound like you’re a novice who is simply pecking away rather than actually playing with dynamics.The sound quality, likewise, is very low and muffled. The difference in volume between the “acoustic piano” and the “bright piano” is striking. The second is significantly louder which is very strange.The other sounds are very low-tech sounding and are likewise muffled.Overall, I just can’t see this being particularly useful as a piano as it’s honestly pretty difficult to play. I suppose if you’re using it purely as a MIDI input device, it might be ok as you’ll be editing everything in post production afterwards.All in all, it might be a good gadget for an accomplished musician who travels and needs a carry-on sized keyboard, but I wouldn’t recommend it for new players or those who want to use it for piano playing itself. I’d invest the extra money and get a fully weighted keyboard for sure.
