The innovative Alesis Mesh Kick Pad 8 is an 8” mesh head bass drum pad that delivers a classic-feeling drumming experience with modern electronic drum versatility. Nothing duplicates the feel of acoustic drums like Alesis Mesh.
The tension of the mesh head can be adjusted with a standard drum key, and it works with single and double bass drum pedals. This pad is velocity-sensitive and quiet—perfect for late night practice.
It’s compatible with almost any electronic drum module, from Alesis’ own DM10 and Nitro modules to any other major brand, so you can upgrade your newest set or replace a missing piece from your old one.

Customers say
Customers appreciate the product’s functionality, noise level, and pad quality. They find it works well, is quiet, and a nice upgrade from the original plastic one. Many consider it a great addition to their kit and come complete with everything needed. However, opinions differ on its sturdiness.

Great kick drum.
Itâs a great add-on. Itâs a bit on the expensive side but it works great and helped me expand my set-up. Iâm not a drummer (Iâve played guitar for 30+ years) but Iâm in the process of learning the drums. I recommend this kick drum.

Rock band!
Replaced my snare for my Ion Drum rocker pad (Xbox) with this and WOW. No noise and super accurate and sensitive. Have to play a little differently (not band as hard) but so worth it! Note I’m on an SDK5 drum rack so the mount was perfect (larger tube rack). The clamp is toolless, another nice feature I didn’t notice when I purchased. BTW zoom in on the images provided by the MFG you can see the little dots (sensors) there are a bunch of them.

Be careful
The kick drum can not be removed from the stand and does not have standard attachments. The way they have the pictures presented are misleading to me.The pads themselves are great. I’ve had mine for 2+ years and they play very wellOne problem I have is that the Alesis clamps are designed for slightly smaller diameter rack tubes. The provided clamps will NOT fit on a standard 1.5 inch Gibraltar rack.

Perfect addition to kit
Fantastic addition to my kit. I play open-handed / left handed and placed this tom to the left of my hi-hat. I use the Alesis Command X-9 kit, I mapped this tom to the tom-1 input and then mapped the toms that came with the kit to tom inputs 2,3 and 4. It works like a charm. The bounce is perfect. Easy setup with lots of options.

Really stoked on the kick pad!
Just bought the mesh kick drum pad as an upgrade and am extremely impressed with the feel and performance!I had been using the stock Nitro Kit kick pad which not only didnt accommodate my double kick pedal properly, but is also loud and bulky.Highly recommend the mesh!

The box was correct, at least.
Came from a third party. While it was a good price, the downside was that it wasnât at all the item in the description. I received a janky-ass 8â pad, not the 10â, and also it was a different style than the one pictured, which makes a difference because I would only need to throw a quick bend into my half inch metal support arm to make the pad face me.Iâm thinking someone ordered the 10â, then returned the box with their old 8â and launched themselves to rock stardom. The olâ switcheroo! Classic.Someone senior executive enough to own a tape measure should have probably peeked inside. I doubt this will happen to others. Just a good story.
