A great guide to the dot.
Ok, I have to admit, I’ve been on a roll with reading about my new echo dot – I just love the device! I just don’t have time to read blogs and sites that tell me more about my new “friend”. (Oh if only there was an Alexa for Alexa!). But I digress – this book is another great addition to my collection! While it’s very similar to another book I read about the echo dot, I did learn a few new tricks, including fun things to ask Alexa. I do like that there’s a more comprehensive chapter about connecting specific speakers to the Echo Dot, which helped me a lot. This book is a bargain for Echo Dot users who just want to learn how to use the device.

My guess is that this was written in Swahili and translated into English by someone who knows little of Swahili or English. It is almost unreadable. What I could understand was only slightly useful. Not even worth the 99 cents I spent on it.

For some reason, books that include visual explanations go a long way for my satisfaction, and this book’s got em. Lot of thorough descriptions in this book, and I discovered many facets of my new echo dot that I didn’t even realize existed. Tons of great info here, for those looking for a manual to the echo dot, this is the place to start!

Although very informative, this was not written in “American” English, I.e. the use of “catch” instead of button or switch, the use of “rundown” instead of list, etc.. For Americans, this made it a challenge to understand the text. Technology can be difficult to follow without a slight tilt in the language and describing terms.Thanks for the information.

Although I just started reading, it is exactly what the title says so far. I got this book specifically because I haven’t complete figured out ‘Alexa’ on my Dot. As a new user I found this useful. This book is really a great help to those people who are planning to purchase the Amazon Echo Dot.

There is some cool information in here, but sadly it is not very well written. I think it may have been translated from another language, it certainly reads that way, for example:”The Echo Dot is sufficiently shrewd to adjust to discourse designs, individual inclinations, and vocabulary. This gadget is a booming in a little bundle. Does it fit anyplace, as well as it comes standard in two hues: dark or white.”This is a copy and paste from the actual text. It reads like a bad google translation. That being said, if you can wade through the poor English, there are some great tips and tricks to be found in this book.Two stars because of the poor translation.
