A lovely new welcome 2024 update
(Slight tldr pros and cons below) Iâve had the first gen since 2018 and when I saw the second gen I just had to get them and put old reliable in retirement. As of first getting the gen 2 and writing this review I have loved the 2 gen. Both comfortable and light as well as decent color selection but itâs easier if I do pros and consPros1. Super durable I have twisted them and put them to the test just like my first and still retained itâs shape and no signs of cracks anywhere2. Comfortability I have worn these headsets for hours on in and I can say for sure it feels like Iâm not even wearing them but still feel really secure to my head3. Easy to clean (canât say how easy since I have no need to clean them yet other than hair4. Price I mean you canât beat a good durable headset for 40-60$5. Compatibility works great on my PC, Xbox and my switch but I hardly use headphones for the switch anywaysAnd now onto some cons1. The headphone jack (atleast for gen 1) is like playing Russian roulette could work up to a year or break next month most notably the audio slider could have it all the way up and only one ear has audio slightly bring it down and both work (recommend getting spare cords Amazon does sell them)2. Lack of options (more a personal attack) wish there were options for no mics or wireless since I use a different mic for talkingAnd lastly mixed opinion is the audio some say itâs best for single player. I play a lot of games that sound is key such as escape from Tarkov, day z and so on. I personally have not faced such an issue where this headset would struggle I could still pinpoint where gunfire and explosion happen no matter how chaotic with both gen 1 and 2As of now this is all I can think of Iâll update as I go on but for now I recommend this headset with a just the acceptation of being prepared to buy spare audio cables for the headset.Edit 5/1/24Wow almost two years and the headset is still going strong i have put ALOT of abuse on the headset so what are my thoughts on it now ?Well the audio slider has given out id say about 9 months in upon purchase but its minor being a small adjustment its working as intended, now onto the cleaning still just as easy just pull the ear muffs off and hand wash let it air dry and continue on. durability still on par as Gen 1 thanks to a nephew they can be thrown off the porch hitting objects such as cars and a tree and still work after plugging back in. Though have notice after some time it will hold what ever bend you put on it BUT it still will not crack or break so yea it was and still is worth every penny.

Initial Thoughts: Good!
Extremely comfortable, especially if your ears are small like mine. The material is soft and creates a mildly-snug cuff around your ears. That seems to be the main aspect of “noise canceling”, it’s nice if you want to be immersed in your game or music, though it can be a bit funny on calls… Your own talking creates a bit of an “echo” in your own head, and your can hear your own mouth sounds! I’m not very bothered by it, it’s not a distraction when you’re playing games. But I take the left headphone off slightly if I’m on a casual call. Otherwise I get to loud from not hearing myself. The surround sound isn’t professional but works, footsteps in games are discernable and you get a basic sense of direction.I want to mention again… They’re so soft! Perfect for my sensory issues. the fit secure.I bought this with a 2-year warranty, I’ll be reporting back if I ever need to use it / my headphones start to break.

The best headset ever
I have bought Astro headsets for years because they are very simple and work very well. They are bendy and durable, so if you drop it or maybe step on it itâs less likely to be damaged. The sound quality is nice and I like that you can use it on any console.

Completely worthless and wouldn’t recommend buying
I bought this product and received it in the time frame they said I would get it. That isn’t the issue. I bought these headsets as a gift for my brother since he recently started to game again and thought since they are a newer generation than the last astro headset he had I assumed they would be better but no. I gave them to him as an early gift and he told me without hesitation that I was scammed because the sound quality while in game wasn’t as efficient as the 1st generation astros. Not to mention the wire has many connection problems and makes a static noise and honestly ruins the gaming experience. I don’t recommend anyone to buy these headsets at least the 2nd generation. I understand that there are many good reviews but listen to me when i tell you that the 2nd generation astros are a scam because you won’t get the most out of your gaming experience.

Earpieces are Small
It’s has great sound quality and whatnot, but the ear pieces don’t actually fit around the ears anymore. I don’t love that.

Doesn’t Work Properly
I’ve owned an A10 for several years now with no problems, so I ordered one for my son. Unfortunately, it stopped working properly after a while. The audio was staticky and the sound would glitch so much that he had to unplug it and plug it back in often. It eventually wasn’t worth the trouble. So, since I have been using an A10 myself with no problems, I’m assuming my son just got a bad unit. My review of this headset is mixed. Unfortunately, the problem started after the 30-day return policy, so it’s now in the trash. It was a waste of $60.

Perfect Gaming Headset
I don’t know why their are bad reviews. The way these are designed, they are super comfortable and get better with age, they are extremely durable, and built to be okay after the cords are inevitably yanked out of the socket. The sound quality is totally fine. The only two things, I would change, is I would like the cord to be something softer, because rubber or whatever cords are made of will yank your arm hair out if you rub it the wrong way, and also, I’d like the headset to have a black and silver or black and gold option. I mean, they don’t look bad, but they could have a much cooler appearance. Still, this headset is perfect for what it is, really. As long as they stay affordable, I’ll buy from this company the rest of my life.

I was in the market for a new gaming headset but wired, since my current expensive wireless ones only lasted a few month before breaking. I am always careful with my things, so when they broke I was very suprised and disappointed in the quality. When I saw the ASTRO A10 headset and how it’s made to be more durable, I had to try it. It’s only been a few weeks so far but these are some pros and cons I’ve noticed.PROS:-Durability and movement-Good audio quality (could go a bit louder but that could just be my personal preference)-Stylish and adjustable-Inline audio control makes for quick and easy volume adjustmentsCONS:-Only 1 audio control. Would be nice to control game and chat separately.-The foam ear covers are comfy, but on the smaller size. Conclusion:If you’re looking for a gaming headset that is sub $100 I would recommend these. If anything changes, I will update.

I had the older model A10s when I saw these and I instantly bought it I have been using them for a couple month now and I gotta say these are far better than the old model there have more clean sound, lighter, and the cushioning around the ear is far more softer so your ears donât hurt as mush after long gaming sessions. Iâve also have had no problems with the micThe only problem I have is that itâs not the friendly for big heads these ones just barely fit my head on the last setting but they are still a great headset and donât see myself switching to any other Astro headsets for awhile or at least until these ones die or break than Iâll be back looking for more astros

Itâs a headset that works. Worth the price and sound is great. Mic quality is alright. I use an external mic so donât care much.

Great headset , worked well for 4 months. After that the microphone boom broke and had to use an elastic to hold on place , now the microphone stopped working. Still can be used for headset, but useless for gaming headset now .

This specific headset is great for kids or teenagers, specifically a person with a smaller cranium. The headset on a fully grown adult is quite uncomfortable. Aside from the aesthetics of comfort, it’s quite an amazing entry level piece of gear for listening to and communicating with teammates. If you add on an Astro Mix Amp setup from their options available, the quality of sound goes through the roof. To the end of this review, the headset for a beginner (youth) getting into gaming is quite a level up in terms of quality for price.
