Good practice pad, not for hardwood floors.
There is a lot to like about this Kick drum practice pad. The unit is collapsible for easy transport or for storing away when not in use. Setting it up is fairly straight forward. There is a single tension rod screw that holds the practice pad in place. There is an included drum key to tighten that one screw. The rest of the drum pad is preassembled. The locking plate in the front is adjustable with two wingnuts on either side. On the backside are two adjustable carpet spikes to prevent slipping while using it. The whole assembly is made of metal with exception of the drum pad and two rubberized pads on the bottom. The sound quality is pretty good. It is obviously more quiet than a full Kick drum but still a bit louder than I expected. It won’t disturb the neighbors but people in your house will know you’re up to something. It feels good when using it and the rebound is nice and effective.I can’t really complaint too much about is for playability. But… It slides across hardwood floors. The rubberized pads on the bottom do not keep it from moving around and the spikes are not useable in that scenario. On a mat or carpet everything holds tight. Plus, I don’t like that the one screw uses a drum key. There isn’t any room to rotate the drum key for a quick breakdown or assembly. I have to hand tighten the screw about 90% before using the key. The screw can’t be used from the bottom side either. These are just small product irritations that were over looked in the design. All of that said, the minor design defects are only slightly detracting from where this practice pad works well. I’m sure if I add better floor pads and swap out that single screw it will make for an even better practice drum. 4 stars.

Practice in peace
Need to give your foot a bit of a workout, but don’t want to bother the other people who live in your home? Well, this is the ticket. It feels really good and lets me practice my rhythm without bothering everyone around.

Beat it!
I have been playing electric bass and guitar for over three decades, so I’m not new to music. I am however new to sitting at a drum kit. (Finally.. I decided this is the year to learn drums.)I have an eKit in the small studio, but wanted something to practice on while working. Yeah, I know…This along with the kick pedal attached fit right under my workbench. I can’t practice all the drums, but I can work on eliminating that “ghost hit” I get when the pedal does a little bounce and hits twice once in a while. Spring tension, foot placement, seat height… I’m trying everything. But that is not about the practice pad….The pad works great and doesn’t seem to move once I got it situated under the desk. It seems sturdy and like it will take a pounding without bending or breaking.Great stand and pad.

Fits my needs and purpose in trying to strengthen my left foot
Iâm trying to improve my kick with my left foot for double bass, and repetition has been a focal point for me. This pad allows me to sit and kick in my spare time without a lot of fuss. Intermittent use on my hand, as this is not a substitute, in my use, for real practice. Rather if I have time between calls or down time, I can get more kicks in each day. Feeling is good, material is sturdy, and ways to keep it in place. Iâm an amateur/hobby player, so it does what I would like it to, for what itâs worth.

For my home studio.
I turned this thing into a Bass Drum Subwoofer stand. Great quality. Very sturdy and appealing. No problems with performance, fit to pedals, and good value.

Works great and feels good!
It’s sturdy and easy to assemble. I use it with a single kick and it works well and feels good. I’m very happy with it!

Solid practice tool for single pedals
This practice pad is simple to set up and is a solid practice tool. I can use it with a fairly heavy foot and it neither tips over, nor slides on the carpeting (two adjustable spikes on the bottom help anchor it). It allows me to work on foot strength exercises without the overpowering volume of an acoustic bass drum. The pad rebounds well; I’ve had no issues with its quality or construction. The pad dimensions are 5″ x 3″; it’s perfect for single pedals, but likely too tight for a double kick. This device is a nice complement to traditional hand practice pads, and would make a useful gift for any student drummer.

Es ideal para practicar aunque un poco inestable al tocar fuerte y ademas la almohadilla es un poco rigida y se resiente en el pedal.
