Has been very handy for my little home studio
I have been using this digital mixer for a few months now and have been very pleased for the most part. Probably the biggest complaint would be the lack of good documentation. The documentation provided is very general. I have spent a fair amount of time just trying to explore the menu items and settings to figure things out. There are some helpful videos on YouTube that can also help. With that said, it is a nice piece of equipment that I use regularly.I picked up a cheap 7″ android tablet to use with the app. It works well. It lets me adjust settings remotely and I have found it to be a very convenient size. The app is quicker and easier than the built in control buttons and dials for navigating the various settings, although, I have found that the onboard controls are not horrible after you figure them out. I have also connected it with several other tablets and my phone without issue. However, it’s nice to have a dedicated tablet just for use with it. The connection is via Bluetooth and has proven to be pretty reliable. It does not have motorized faders which would be nice. However, at this price point, I’m not surprised by the fact that it doesn’t have them. It is not difficult to move the faders manually to find parity with the app with the “offset” indicators on each channel. The “auto gain” function is very handy, but, may still need some tweaking manually depending on how you use it. I find that it gives a good starting point for gain staging when recording. The onboard effects are not bad. I don’t use them much at all at this point, because, I primarily use it as an interface to record tracks to my computer DAW and the effects are not sent to the computer in recording mode. They could be used if using this as a mixer for live performance. The one downfall is that whatever effects you have selected will be the same for any channel that you apply effects to. They can be individually controlled as to amount of effect applied to each channel. However whichever effect is assigned to each of the two FX banks, will be the same for every channel where the effects are applied. It does allow for sending of all 8 tracks to your DAW separately, with an additional 2 tracks (9,10) for your mains output. This means you can send each track individually while also sending a combined stereo trackof your overall mix to your DAW. The tracks 1-8 are pre-fader and are therefore not effected by the mix settings going to your main or monitor outputs. This means you can send those tracks to a DAW and record individual tracks from a live performance, while also sending a pre-mixed signal to additional tracks in the DAW while also sending to the house or PA.Bottom line is, this is very versatile and very useful for my uses, at a price point that is very attractive to an old retired guy who is just dabbling with home recording. It is a great starting point that will likely always be a useful piece of equipment even if one were to eventually move to a higher end setup.

Good Digital Mixer at a Great price
I have been waiting for a digital mixer with almost all of the digital mixer features at an affordable price for a while. At $180, this is quite amazing. I’m mostly using it for Karaoke. This has nice effects, compressor, EQ. The signal routing are somewhat limited. I could not route the regular stereo out to the monitor. But that’s understandable at this price. The outputs are XLR. But it’s not a real differential output. That may not be that big of a deal. But, if you are not doing differential output, just put a regular 1/4 inch output.Overall, I’m fairly happy with this.

    Great portable digital mixer
Great portable 8-ch digital mixer with full control using remote app.The good stuff:Good sound with decent appCompact portable size which I can setup on a music sheet stand.Analog layout is preferred over the Behringer XR12 which one time had its WiFi fail on me during a live setting.Bluetooth control range was good at about 30-50ft line of sight.Great sound effects running on two buses which are easily applied to taste across all channelsThe misses that I wish Behringer will address:Gate function for each channel or at least the 1st four channelsIndicator on the app when the compressor is triggeredLive RTA on the app for each channel or at least on the main stereo bus

USB audio issues – otherwise would be perfect
USB audio had clicks and pops. Mostly through the ASIO driver with live playback, but sometimes as a PC soundcard. These pops and clicks do NOT show up in DAW recordings; only the playback. I tried 3 units. They all have the same issue. It can go 5 minutes without doing it, or the noise can be 30 seconds apart. Sometimes the pops are so faint, they can barely be heard. But now and again there can be a loud pop, as if the power is cutting out while playing guitar through a VST plugin. Weather listening to youtube, or playing a (live) VST audio plugin with USB playback, this becomes an issue. If not for this, it would be the PERFECT unit for what I want. But as is, I can’t recommend it for an audio interface.I’ve tried a clean install of Windows 11, the various firmware revisions, as well as different power cables, data cables, and USB ports.I’ve since moved to a Presonus AR8C, but wish it had this type of small form-factor.
