No compromises for the value!
The ultimate upgrade in any living space. 4k HDR content looks absolutely stunning for movie watching and the gaming experience is pretty great although I just purchased a console for our bedroom and coming from the best gaming PC setup money can buy to this it feels pretty bad but I think that’s more of the consoles lack of power rather then the projectors capabilities since on paper this projector is as capable as the most high end TV’s for gaming. Either way for the money I could recommend then projector nto anybody. Remember good picture only makes up half of the experience so budget yourself for a surround sound and if you are like me and find sound to be more important for the experience I highly recommend the Samsung HW-Q950A. It’s a 11.1.4 Dolby Atmos wireless surround sound system that really helps put you right in the middle of the scene or battle and completly changed this bedroom entertainment experience since I had only a 3.1 channel Soundbar at time of purchasing this projector. The sound bar also has 2 HDMI inputs to expand on the connectivity.

Golf Simulator
I bought this projector for my homemade Golf Simulator. To be projected onto a 12’6″ x 9’6″ golf impact screen.I have the projector mounted on my ceiling approximately 19 feet away from the screen.I think is does a great job. No complaints!!!I also use it to watch movies or football games, but mostly for my Flight Scope Golf Simulator.5 stars from me

Great projector with some caveats….
This is a great projector. The picture quality is amazing and my family loves it. I just wish I would have gotten the non Android TV version. This the Android TV version does support HTMI arc but only at 5.1 surround sound. Because of this, I had to get an Nvidia shield to be able to use my Dolby Atmos setup. Now I have two Android TV devices connected to the projector and the projector always defaults to the built-in Android TV which gets very confusing and requires three remotes to control it. And you cannot simply unplug the built-in Android TV.

Hidden compartment for dongle
Overall, very high quality projector for the price. Very quiet fan and does not get too hot. Has an auto keystone feature so you don’t have to adjust much which is awesome. I was confused at first because it said it had smart capabilities – come to find out, there’s a hidden compartment that you need to remove a screw to access (this is where the dongle is to be installed to use the smart capabilities). Would definitely recommend!

Great picture quality. It’s bright enough to use with the shades open. It’s a pretty popular projector for gamers, but I purchased it for television and movies, and it works great for those purposes. I also own a HR2050A and this is a big upgrade from that projector.

After only two months of use, is not working anymore
I was very happy with this purchase, until yesterday when for some reason the indicador light of light (I assume is the bulb) turn flashing red and stopped working. It is the bulb that needs change only with 2 months of use and of course not 24/7. This is disappointing. Now the replace is 135$ plus the import to Costa Rica. Guest what repair the projector is expensive that a new one. NEVER BUY THIS AGAIAN

Very good quality on 120 inch screen. Bright enough for my basement suite. Many different sound options, but internal speaker is not the loudest.Love Google TV option and it works well. The only issue is Netflix not supported on projector itself. However, you can go around it by screen mirroring from another device.

Had this 2 years, changed 2 bulbs and now the DMD chip has failed. I think its cheaper to get a very large TV

A good projector for the price. We didn’t need the dongle especially as it doesn’t easily support netflix but got it for the other benefits. Reviews and comments are like if you need two ports or don’t need the dongle save the money. All ignore that you don’t need to use the dongle and are back to two. More importantly you gain CEC and HDMI ARC which appear to only be available on the i version. For the price difference plus the option of using a dongle if so desired it was a no brainer. I have even been able to control some of a Google TV dongle functionality using the projector remote through CEC.Otherwise great projector for price if used for bright room. If you are looking for the absolute best movie quality in a dark room for the price, this isn’t it. But the image is more than good enough even with all our lights on which is a common use case for us and even better when used in a dark room. HDR is not comparable to a high end TV but it does make a big difference to the image quality and the bright images and colours pop. Note BENQ does go for reference colours and has no vivid mode to artificially boost the colour. So when using in non HDR mode expect rather accurate colours but none of the vibrant artificial colours popping like on demo TVs, if that is a thing you really like.

Considering that 10 years ago something like this would have cost a fortune, this product offers an excellent audiovisual experience. It is possible but not ideal to watch a movie in a room where there is a lot of light, but unquestionably at night it looks much better.Pros:- What caught my attention was the quality of the audio that comes integrated with the device.- Easy to install and configure.What can be improved:- The noise of the fan, it’s not at all quiet but you get used to it after a while.- I do not recommend buying the version that comes with android TV because due to licensing issues it doesn’t support Netflix natively. (Netflix can be installed using a third party application but you need a smart phone to control it and personally it’s not the kind of experience I’m looking for when I want to relax and watch a movie. )- The projector software looks like it was developed 20 years ago, not what I expected from a product at this price in 2023, I guess that’s why it comes with Android TV. (This is old technology disguised as innovation.)
