BIC Gelocity Quick Dry Black Gel Pens, Medium Point (0.7mm), 12-Count Pack, Retractable Gel Pens With Comfortable Full Grip

Great pen for standard writing
Having tried the Pilot G-2 .07 pen (blobs and smears) and the Paper Mate InkJoy Gel .07 pen (inconsistent quality, didn’t work at all in some cases), I tried these BIC Gel-Ocity Quick Dry gel pens, .07 tip and found exactly what I wanted. They write well, consistently, and easily on standard 20 pound paper, and are great for all around, daily use. They didn’t smear or blob, the ink did dry quickly, and came out of the pen with a good, regular flow. The point of the pen was not too sharp, not too fat, so that it also worked well on the carbon copy paper I use. I didn’t rate the longevity or value for money because I’ve only recently started using them. Price is a little higher than similar pens at $1.69 each for the 48 count box and a ghastly $3.64 ea for the 12 count box. The Pilot and Paper Mate were cheaper, but the quality wasn’t as good either. I purchase for a business, so I can purchase the larger quantities and get the lower price. At $1.69 each for the 48 count (largest quantity available), I think they are worth it.

I’m a collector of pens and I love to try all kinds of pens and these by far are my all time favorite.Writes smooth and dries fast and very comfortable to hold.Love the look.

I Really Like These Pens
These BIC Gel-ocity Gel Pens are my current favorite writing pen. I especially like the gel-type pens for the clear, dark, and distinctive ink that presents a great impression. I like the 7mm point for a distinctive, but not too heavy, stroke. I previously used to use another brand gel pen which I thought were optimum. I used them for a number of years until I unexpectedly ran short one day, and scrambled to find and buy one of these BIC units when I couldn’t find my original brand. I was quite surprised to find that the BIC unit outperformed my previous favorite, and I’ve continued to use these ever since.I usually order a dozen at a time but I go through them steadily. The price on these seems to vary, since there has been times when I needed to order but was surprised that the price was quite expensive, and other times when the price was quite reasonable. My last order was for a little less than a buck a pen, and I feel that’s a very fair price for the performance I get. These pens last quite a while with just intermittent use, but if you write steadily they will deplete the ink more quickly than your normal ballpoint pen. That seems to be consistent with all gel pens, because all three brands that I have used share that same characteristic. I believe the ink is a “thicker” product, and this design pen lays down more of it–that’s the reason the appearance is so dark and distinctive. It’s a price I’m willing to pay for the other benefits of the gel system.

Favorite pens!
My favorite pens to use by far! I do a lot of documentation and note taking and these guide on the paper with ease. Not much ink smearing or transfer on the paper. Comfortable to hold. I haven’t had any issues with the ink skipping while I’m writing.

I buy them all the time because it’s my favorite pen and the ink comes out so smoothly. Writing is easy. I highly recommend this pen. You won’t regret it.
