Ok, for the price
I don’t expect top quality from no name brands, so to be fair I didn’t expect the most from these but I was curious to try some over ear headphones, as opposed to on ear. Let’s start with the plus – tons of bass. My go to track to test the bass on headphones is Tootsie Roll by the 69 boys. These headphone rolled that bass so hard out of the box, and even managed to keep up when I tweaked my EQ to up the bass even harder. No distortion whatsoever. The mids and the highs kept up and weren’t drowned out by the bass, either, which is nice. Tweaking the EQ brought those out a bit more strongly, however. The ANC also worked well, blocking out the furnace, the fan, or whatever ambient noise I had around me. The one thing I struggled with was the soundstage of these headphones. For the uninitiated, the soundstage is “In the world of audiophiles, soundstage (or speaker image) is an imaginary three-dimensional space created by the high-fidelity reproduction of sound in a stereo speaker system; in other words, the soundstage allows the listener to hear the location of instruments when listening to a given piece of music.” For some headphones I’ve tested it sounds like the music is living right in the middle of my brain, right between my ears, and in that case I felt so immersed in the audio. With these headphones, I often felt like, instead of hearing the vocals in my head, it felt like I was in a large hall or warehouse hearing the vocals as projected from speakers across a vast empty space. I don’t know how to describe it exactly other than distant, like I was removed from the actual source of the music. I guess if that’s your thing, good for you, but it was one aspect of these I did not care for. The noise cancellation on the phone call was ok, according to my buddy. He couldn’t hear my furnace or background noise, but he did say my voice was a bit distant and echo-ey.

I must say that I enjoy these headphones so much more than my ear buds. The sound is rich and full and having Bluetooth headphones gives you the opportunity to move around your home or shop.Another huge benefit is that the headphones are sent to you with an additional cord that you can plug the headphones directly into your laptop which comes in very handy on airplanes or when you are watching one thing and your spouse/partner wants to watch something else.In addition to the headphones sounding great and appear to be very well made the box is beautifully designed and if you chose to give these as a gift, when unwrapped, the box is quite impressive.

Competitive with AirPod Pro 2, but a couple of drawbacks
These headphones surprised me. I splurged on AirPod Pro 2s last year as a treat for myself and I absolutely love them. These headphones come in a close second, for about half the price.First, the good: easy to understand controls and user’s manual gets you started quickly. Easy pairing, and comfortable over the ear fit. Surprisingly good noise cancellation, although hard to tell if it’s as good as the AirPod Pros.The not so good: lots of buttons on the outside of the headphones and they’re mostly single function. Takes a little bit to orient yourself where they are all at. Confusing “ANC mode” which has three settings but none of them are really distinguishable (I guess I can hear more ambient sound when it’s on “transparency”…?)Biggest drawback: if you have an iPhone, the integration with AirPods just can’t be beat. That’s what you’d expect if you’re buying multiple products from the same manufacturer. If you have experienced AirPods, these headphones will feel like a downgrade, but not an enormous downgrade. If you’ve never experienced AirPods, these pack a lot of punch and give you a ton of bang for your buck.If you know what you’re getting into, you’ll likely be happy with these headphones.
