Amazing budget camera
For starters, this is a budget camera. It should not be compared to $3,000 flagship cameras.
That said, I love this thing. It has the full Canon menu. You can achieve almost any setting you desire.
The RF lenses are amazing, and this camera body uses them amazingly well. You can also adapt your EF lenses to this.
Because it is a budget camera, they do a lot of hand holding and the automatic functions are pretty extensive. You have to switch the menu from the simple menu to the standard one in order to get all of the stuff, but that’s easy to do. You should spend a lot of time in this menu system to make sure you understand what the camera can do.
This would not be suitable for professionals and you’re not going to use this as a main camera if you’re taking wedding photos or sports photos. But I have taken it to events and got an amazing shots.
I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a high-powered budget camera with a lot of artistic options. This would probably not be suitable as a main camera for a videographer or a professional, but it would work for photo journalism.
I originally bought it because I have a DSLR and I wanted to see what the mirrorless experience was like. I may buy a full size like the R8 or better one of these days, but this little camera is my favorite companion. It’s great for street photography. It’s great for so many things. If you’re looking for a camera, you will not get anything better than this for the price.

Perfect for my useâ¦
I have a Canon 90D, but wanted something that would travel much easier on trips. This is perfect for that and I just couldnât say no to the price with the two lenses ($599).
Neither of the two frequent critiques one might come across – fixed and non-touch screen – really matter to me. I am also using it primarily for street photography and not wildlife or sports. Again, I wanted something I could put into a backpack and travel with easily when I venture into NYC or fly, was reasonably priced, and takes solid pictures. This was perfect for me.

Itâs a great entry level camera! Itâs lightweight and takes amazing photos. I know if I got better lenses it will be even better. The kit lenses arenât too bad either that came with it.
I caught the camera on 40% off and with payment plan so I would aim for that so you get the better deal. I think itâs a nice 500$ deal not almost 900$ lol

I have small hands, I cannot imagine how someone with larger hands could ever use this
Annoying piece of junk camera. When I hold this camera, my hand automatically rests against the right bottom area, which brings up the selection for auto focus…continuously. Takes forever to autofocus anyway. Cannot ever be sure if autofocus is on or not since it changes constantly. Camera has shown me a full battery many times, and when in use does not even last 50 photos taken within 20 minutes. I need a camera that either shows me when a battery is drained so I can charge it, or give me a battery that last a decent while. This is one purchase I regret. I have owned many Canon cameras before this one and loved them, but I will buy a different brand next time I change cameras due to this mostly useless paperweight.

The image quality appears to be the same as my Canon D70 and, with an adapter, I can use my long lens. It is so much easier to take with me on trips.
