How we got our start It started with my father watching TV at a high volume. He had hearing aids, a surround sound system and still could not hear the TV the way he wanted. One day while sitting in his chair he held his hands up near his ears and said “I wish I just had small little speakers right here on my chair.” What makes our product unique Our experiences have allowed us to design products not only for our family but your family as well. The best purchase you will ever make!
My wife would often set the TV volume to 100. I could not stand to be in the same room and it was even loud when I was two rooms away. I tried some other solutions but they just didn’t do the job or she didn’t like them. Out of sheer frustration, I ordered the ChairSpeaker. My wife would set the TV volume to 100. In the back of my mind, I knew I would be returning it I was sure it was another thing that wouldn’t perform well. WRONG! she loves it I love. For the first time in a few years, I can actually enjoy watching TV with my wife as the sound volume for the TV is set to a level (23) that is not painful to me. Yet she can sit in her chair and hear perfectly. The design is such that most of the sound from the ChairSpeaker is kept beside her. There is relatively little spill-over into the rest of the room. Yes, this is not the cheapest solution out there, however it is certainly the best value for your money. If you have hearing loss buy this for yourself. If a loved one has hearing loss be selfish and by this for your sanity. My wife thinks it was a present for her, actually, it was for me.One nice feature is that it is AC-powered. She watches TV all day long. A unit that would need recharging after a few hours is not going to do the job. Also many solutions I looked at or tried only have one speaker. This provides sound to both ears. Set up is fast and simple.

Works great. Now I can hear what the people are saying without my old sound bar filling up the house with all the background noise. I liked it so much I ordered another one for my wife for Christmas. I had an issue with her on/off volume knob not turning. I called the company and an actual person answered and resolved the problem. It was an easy fix and I didn’t have to exchange it. Great product and if needed great customer support.

1970’s Technology
I bought this for my mom 1 year ago because her tv doesn’t have blue-tooth. Sound is garbage, one of the speakers is hanging by the two flimzy wires after it broke having it a couple months. If you walk in front or place something in front of the transmitter, the sound crackles away into static sound. Buy this only if you want your love one to complain about how bad it is. At best, it’s a $20 item.

UPDATED: Manufacturer replaced the unit when I contacted them by phone. Still only giving three stars for how quickly it failed.ORIGINAL 1 Star Review: Repeated contact by phone and email to Kare Audio have not been answered. Expensive piece of junk.

Great Speakers for Hard of Hearing
This is my 2nd purchase. The first purchase lasted 2 1/2 years, running every day, all day and night! These speakers have been a sanity saver! My Dad no longer has the television blasting through the house. We can actually listen to the TV from a distance through his headphones!! Well worth the money!!

I ordered this as a Christmas gift for my husband who has total hearing loss in his left ear and 65% loss in his right ear. They arrived after Christmas but they were worth the wait. They installed and paired easily. The speakers are very clear and easily adjusted to the appropriate volume for his hearing loss. My husband is pleased with them and this has actually allowed me to listen to the TV without the walls vibrating from the TV volume being turned up so high. Iâve ordered headphones and ear buds and they ended being discarded after a few uses. I think these are here to stay and they are made in the good ole USA.Thanks so much for inventing these. They are the real deal.

Wireless connection totally unuseable.
Besides the very poor speaker sound, the biggest failure is that the Infared link drops out*Sound totally stops.) if you move your arm or body while seated or if some one walks by.Also the method used to hold the speakers together and retain to chair back is unique butdoes not do well in keeping the system on back of chair. Amazon has another brand that uses a radio system instead of infared and speakers sound a little better although still notgreat.
