Great quality, needs a fix for Netflix
The Epson EpiqVision Mini EF12 delivers sharp 1080p visuals with vibrant colors, and the built-in Yamaha sound system is excellent for its size. Itâs super portable and easy to use thanks to the built-in Android TV.However, it doesnât support Netflix natively, which is a big downside for such an otherwise great streaming device. I hope Epson resolves this with a future update. Aside from that, itâs a fantastic compact projector for movies and shows.

The best purchase I made in 2024.Decent color, great brightness, good sound quality, super compact, super easy to setup , makes it used more often.I have it mounted on a tripod, makes it a mobile movie projector.

Faulty projector with no support from Amazon
Through the AMAZON renew program, I purchased this projector. They sent me two faulty ones and by the time I got the third one, I was out of town for several weeks for work and didnât have the chance to use it much.Now, trying to use it â itâs broken and does not work. The fan overheats and there is no picture.Iâve contacted Amazon customer support and they say because the 90 days passed, they will not refund me or replace the device.Amazon shouldnât be running a renew program and sending people broken electronics theyâre not willing to stand behind.Iâm out $700 on a broken piece of plastic and customer support has hung up on me twice. I spend tens of thousands of dollars a year on Amazon specifically because of the typically good customer support. I wonât be doing that for high ticket items anymore, just cheap junk.Very disappointed and shame on Amazon.

good renewed buy
Writing this review because I went insane reading projector reviews and was deeply confused by the specs.I had bought a refurbed 200 ansi portable projector for $300 and it was dim and pixelated. We have an old Epson projector (10+ years old?) and it looked about as good as that. The EF12 is great. Super bright and crisp. Small. Good value (refurbed, $780) for a laser projector. Sound is very good, not as good as speakers though. Does not have to have wires hanging out everywhere because it is a smart projector. Happy with purchase.

An All-in-One Package!
A lot of fun and easy to set up. The projector is perfect for anyone that just wants a simple, quiet projector with all the equipment built-in already for watching tv/movies. I use my curtains as a screen and it works… okay at night. There’s slight distortion due to the ripples and wrinkles in the curtains, but overall it’s pretty good. During the day the projection is too light, so I’ll likely end up purchasing a screen. By using an actual screen I expect the picture to come out a lot clearer during the day.

Okay, but….
This is a really good projector. Video quality is outstanding. My only problem is that there doesn’t seem to be any way to project sounds through Bluetooth. The sound output Settings indicates that it sees and connects to Bluetooth speakers, but it simply will not project the sound externally. When corded earphones are used the sound level is quite low, even when the volume is high. The projector’s internal speaker is quite good, though. I just wish I could just get it to project sounds externally.

This projector is one of the brightest projector I have own. Even though its only 1000 lumens. The colors on the projector is quite good too.One downside is that after adjusting the keystone there is some light leakage and you will able to see it.The projector doesn’t comes with Netflix neither will you be able to install it through the google play store, but if you want you can always sideload it. So its not that the projector can’t run Netflix, it just not Netflix certified whatever that means.

Auto adjust and focus only work in normal position and donât work when projecting upside down.Wonder why because that really limit the portability of the unit.

Great picture quality , thow distance is shorter compared to other long throw projectors. Corner adjustment is a great feature to make the picture fit perfectly to screen . One thing you need to make it complete… Chromecast with google tv to get netflix and to seamlessly connect to external blutooth speakers. Android tv does not work with netflix and need to reconnect bluetooth speaker everytime.
