One of the best Iâve used butâ¦.
Bought one of the first units when it was available to purchase. Right out of the box the controller feels amazing. Speaking of the box, mine had a rip in the corner when I received it. Nothing structurally seemed damaged so it wasnât too much of a concern.Back to the controller, the mechanical face buttons feel snappy as well as the extra back buttons are placed nicely and require some force to click (not too sensitive like 8bitdo).The triggers are unique in design when switching to âhairpinâ mode using a latch like button system, gives a premium mouse click feedback which feels incredible. You can even further customize the actuation point and additional trigger functions in the app.The joysticks are just spot on, have zero complaints about the accuracy and feel very smooth and although you canât adjust the tension like a Vader Pro, the tension feels fine, not too sensitive or too snappy. I mainly play single player and sports games with controller, mainly use MNK for fps so canât speak on how shooters feel. As long as there is no stick drift, I am extremely satisfied. The software is simple and well done, gives a ton of customization so you can really change the controller to suite you. Also can be navigated via controller too which is a nice bonus. Lighting through the transparent faceplate (which I love) isnât anything special but gets the job done. Battery seems fine, Iâve never had to charge it to resume playing on 1000hz with lights on brighter setting. So yeah lots of positives, itâs a great product, my only concern is I have a very slight squeaking A button so Iâm not sure if itâs going to get worse but I just hope this controller is durable and not like the razer or elite controllers

First impressions: very impressed!
Let me preface this by saying I have had this controller for less than a week, and the real test will be time. I don’t like writing a review after so little time with a product because those reviews often feel like they’re saying “It arrived and it wasn’t on fire! Five stars!” But after my long search looking for a power-user controller that goes above and beyond what first-party ones offer and ending up disappointed and returning a few of them, I feel like my search has finally come to an end (for now) with the GameSir Cyclone 2 and that warrants a review.GameSir is one of the most commonly-mentioned names when people talk about quality third-party controllers. This is my first GameSir, and though I have heard the first Cyclone fell short in a lot of ways, this successor to it lives up to the hype I hear the brand. It has an Xbox-controller shape (which I think feels better than the more parallel 8BitDo Ultimate and Switch Pro frames), the button faces and D-pad are mechanical and very easy to press without being sunken into the shell– honestly even EASIER to press than other controllers, so it might take some time to get used to how they feel, though that’s not really fault. Only two back paddles, but that’s better than none, and they’re fully configurable. It also something I feel is VERY important, the Cyclone 2 has trigger locks. It still offers a hair-trigger feature (where any trigger pressure registers as 100% activation), but the tactility of it just being a button can be a game-changer for some, myself included. And the way it’s done is with very subtle, small levers nestled at the base of the triggers themselves, which are a little tricky to switch, but chances are if you use them you’ll set them once and never touch them again so in that case it’s nice they’re out of the way.Things that stood out to me are how seamless it is to turn on and off when the dongle is connected. The moment it connects, Windows recognizes it instantly (it appears as a Xbox controller), but more to my surprise is this: You know how when you plug in a controller mid-game and the game has to pause a moment to recognize it? Not with this controller. As long as the dongle is in, while I was playing, every time I turned it on, the game would just pick it up instantly and seamlessly. I don’t know what magic they did to achieve that, and it quite possibly is a per-game thing, so it may not be the same for you. Just something I thought I’d mention. It also has a neat feature where you can designate a button to act as a Shift key, where holding the button down changes what all the other buttons do when that button is held down, effectively doubling the number of inputs available. Very neat. The Cyclone 2 has a whole suite of features that can be configured directly on the controller itself through the Macro button, but you can do all of them AND more using the software, which is actually very quite intuitive. With the software, can bind multiple inputs to a button, keyboard inputs, mouse control, the “Shift” functions, configure deadzones, analog curves, turbo, and with four separate profiles you can switch between on the fly, it becomes quite versatile to pick up and go once you’ve gotten it the way you like. Speaking of pick-up-and-go, I very much like the charging stand. It has a USB input slot you can use for the dongle so it’s not using up two ports, and it automatically shuts off after a bit of time when it’s fully-charged or turned off.Connecting the Cyclone 2 to the Switch was no problem, and switching back and forth between it and PC is quick and simple, though not as simple as flicking a switch: you have to hold down two buttons for a couple of second, one combination to activate bluetooth and another for the Windows receiver. Once connected, it works VERY well on Switch.I could detail ALL the features, but I’ll just summarize it as thus:Pros:⢠Easy to set up⢠Mechanical D-pad and face buttons⢠TMR joysticks (drift-resistant and accurate) which feel smooth as butter⢠Trigger locks⢠Back buttons⢠Seamless transition between modes⢠Ergonomic⢠Nice charging stand that can house the receiver⢠Software to configure it is simple to navigate⢠VERY configurable with macros that include keyboard and mouse inputs, turbo, profiles, Shift profile, deadzones, curves, hair trigger⢠Screenshot button for SwitchCons:⢠D-pad, while decent, isn’t as nice as the Xbox Series X⢠Can’t adjust physical joystick tension⢠While very Xbox-like and works wonderfully with Windows, it is NOT compatible with Xbox⢠Only 2 back buttons, if you care for more⢠Lots of on-board features, such as Switch/PC mode and profiles, require button combinations, and it can be troublesome remembering them all, so hang on to the manual⢠It was just released this year, so its durability has yet to be thoroughly testedFinal word: I finally beat that post-game level in Rockin’ Kats and the Platinum Ticket in Bayonetta 3 using this controller. I think that’s a good metric which covers enough ground to know this controller is legit. Hope it lasts!

This is the new benchmark
Iâve been searching for the best controller to use on PC for a number of years now, and the Cyclone 2 is currently my new daily driver. I have recently used and currently own the following: Flydigi Apex 4, Vader 4 Pro, 8BitDo ultimate 2C, Gamesir T3 Pro, T4 Kaleid, and Sony Dualsense. I mostly play Rocket League on PC but also use a controller for single player games like Elden Ring, Forza, Monster Hunter, etc.Pros:- Thumb sticks: these are the new benchmark for which all controller sticks now need to compete with. These TMR modules have amazing accuracy, low latency, smooth anti friction rings, and great feel/texture grip (same design as Dualsense sticks). I would think these TMR modules would be the same as the ones in the T3 Pro but the Cyclone 2 feels better. Might be due to calibration.- Latency: 1000Hz polling rate and stick/button latency that feels MUCH better than the T3 Pro. Official values on Gamepadla have not come out yet but initial tests and my own experience say the latency is better than the Vader 4 Pro. This has been the hardest part about finding a controller for Rocket League on PC as the Sony Dualsense controllers have very good latency but require DS4Windows to run which has made me look into aftermarket controllers. The Cyclone 2 feels just as responsive as a Dualsense but with better features/buttons/sticks.- Comfort: shape of a standard Xbox controller so if you enjoy the feel in the hand of those you will love this pad.- Buttons: mechanical face buttons that feel great, donât go flush when pressing down all the way, have a good resistance to them but are very tactile and are easy to actuate quickly and accurately. Fast ariels in Rocket League are easy and minimize backflipping on accident. The buttons themselves also have little to no side to side wiggle in the plastic housing making them feel strong and reliable.- Triggers: incredibly smooth with mouse click hair trigger if playing FPSâs. I mostly play racing games so I use it in linear mode most and itâs accurate, smooth, and precise.Price/Value: If you buy this with the included dock for the price itâs the new winner for this category. The dock has integrated RGB and shows you the status of charging with different colors. The feature set for only $50 is crazy and beats competitors like the Vader 4 Pro in most things while being cheaper.Cons/minor gripes:- Dpad: feels okay as itâs mechanical but is a little too sensitive while also being mushy. If you play fighting games itâs not the best as itâs hard to hit diagonal inputs but itâs totally usable for everything else.- Rumble: they claim HD rumble but itâs cheap feeling and not great. Vader 4 Pro is much better in this regard. I donât play with rumble on so this is minor.- Software: this is a personal preference but applications like FlyDigi SpaceStation are much better than the new GameSir Connect app. This is GameSirâs like 4th application for software control (why do they have so many different versions?) and itâs gotten a lot better over time but itâs not my favorite to use. Can adjust the RGB, dead zones, stick input method (raw vs circular), remap buttons, trigger actuation, etc. Definitely not a dealbreaker though, as they have continued to update and add features. Hopefully they stick with this one app and build on its features over time.- Rear buttons: feel good but are a little too easy to press on accident if you death-grip a controller like I do. I canât play Rocket League with the back buttons mapped to anything as I would press it on accident all the time due to my grip style. This is personal preference so your usage may vary. For single player games though, like Elden Ring, the back buttons work great and are easily remappable. For my use, they are totally fine.Overall: the controller is a precise, gimmick-free, and fast gaming controller that puts other competitors, like the Vader 4 Pro, feel overpriced and sloppy. I will be using this pad daily and will update my review if anything changes.

I’m blown away by the Gamesir Cyclone 2! As a gamer, I’ve tried numerous controllers, but this one takes the cake. The Cyclone 2 is a masterclass in design, functionality, and performance. The Cyclone 2’s performance is nothing short of phenomenal. The controller’s latency is virtually non-existent, and the buttons respond with a satisfying tactile click. The analog sticks are smooth and precise, making it a joy to play games that require finesse. I’ve played a variety of games, from FPS to RPG, and the Cyclone 2 has consistently delivered. customizations options, including button remapping, joystick sensitivity adjustment, and LED lighting effects. The Gamesir Cyclone 2 is an exceptional controller that offers outstanding performance, customization options.

I bought this controller as I need one to use with my MacBook and there aren’t many options for good quality controllers that also works with MacOS.It has so many great features that you won’t find on other controllers that a priced around the same. The only reason I have giving it a lower star rating is because my controller is faulty, the right analog stick does not sit inside the controller very well and constantly comes out, this isn’t the case for the left analog stick so I can only assume there is an issue with my controller in particular.

Bluetooth funktionierte in meinem kurzen Test ebenfalls einwandfrei.
