Perfect Action Cam Gimbal
I have tried all sort of solutions to get my GoPros mounted in my gimbal. Then I picked this up. The GoPro fits perfectly in the stabilizer. It is super easy to use and the directions are easy to understand. It connects via BT to my GoPro so I can control not only the gimbal but the camera as well. The battery like is good so far and it is not super heavy. Hohem makes quality products as this is my second gimbal from the. The other is for a smart phone. It keeps the camera nice and steady and pointed right where you want it. I think Iâm goin to have to pick up one of their camera gimbals as well. Whether you are shooting content for Social Media or just want god steady shots on a family vacation, this is the gimbal to use. Itâs high quality and affordable in comparison to some of the others. I highly recommend picking this one up.

I love it! Smooth and simple to use – app not required
This works well, and while there is an app, you do not need to download or use it to get great performance and a lot of utility from this gimbal. It’s smooth, and fits both my older gopro hero 3+ and my newer DJI osmo action 4. I’m using it to do walking videos, and love how smooth it is in comparison to my old selfie stick. There is also enough room to mount the action 4 both directions (e.g., upside-down) – so depending on your shot, you can get a bit creative. The action 4 is the maximum size the gimbal will fit. my Hero 3+ fits with room to spare, but the Action 4 you need to use the spring extension and max out the room/weight. I haven’t noticed any problems doing this – but if you are trying to use an action cam larger than the action 4, I don’t think it would fit.At under $100, this is a nice way to get better, more creative, shots. Great product!!

Disappointed with the app but gimbal is nice for smooth shots
This gimbal seems to get a lot of praise from others, but for me it falls short of it’s potential. Firstly, it doesn’t interface with anything else but Gopro. That means that I can’t use the record button with my DJI Action 4. Secondly I was really excited to set this on a stand and use way points. Yes you can do that, but only once! You would think that it would allow a “dry run” and then let you execute the program as many times as you want. How difficult would that be to program? Unfortunately, the only option is to exit, then poof, your ways point are gone – then start over.Controlling this remotely is actually not bad. You kind of need two phones though. One for the gimbal and another for the camera.Using the gimbal as a charger for the camera is not a good idea in my opinion. It does work, but it’s more of a problem shortening the time that the gimbal can be used. I would rather keep the gimbal active as long as possible and buy spare batteries for the camera if it becomes an issue.Although I have had this a while now and keep trying to put this to use, I feel like I need more time to get the best of this. It would be nice if there were some good tutorials to watch that show more than just what the buttons do.I only gave this 3 stars because I consider this to be a package along with the app. If you don’t care about the app limitations, then this may be fine for you. If Hohem (ho hum) got their stuff together and created a top notch app then I would probably give it 5 stars.

Good Inexpensive Gimbal
This gimbal fits a GoPro perfectly. You literally open it up from the box, charge it up, and your good to start creating content.There is no balancing because it’s designed for the GoPro. You just power it on and start creating.The operation is very intuitive. Even my dad was able to operate it without training.It does feel a bit “plastic” like. I guess that keeps it lightweight and keeps the cost down. It doesnt affect the performance.I like that it includes a case for easy storage and transport.

Nice Addition to the Photography Kit
We bought this in preparation for up coming travel. Neither of us has ever used one of these, so take it for what it’s worth. It was easy and intuitive to figure out and the instructions were inclusive enough to get us started. The gimbal works well and we like the onboard battery which helps in having to keep track of and recharge batteries.It comes with a variety of cables and comes in a very nice protective case. I will update this as we learn more abut this accessary.
