It does what I want it to
I don’t do much printing from my computer. When I do I want it to look good, cost little, and not run out of ink. Its a bit slower than I’m used to, but I don’t care. I’m retired and I can wait for it to print. But the printing looks good, the price was surely right, and the ink is not something I’ll worry about much due to the large supply that this printer can hold. In other words, its just what I needed.

Works as intended.
Works as intended. My problem, and I didn’t check this before purchase, is that it only scans one page at a time, meaning you have to lift the lid, place the page, scan, remove the page and repeat. So, I still run to office max or similar to do my scanning. The print quality is very good, the colors are true. It was a very easy set up and I like that I can print from my phone. If you are printing a multipage document, it is not fast but gets the job done in a reasonable timeframe.

Stream-line looking printer
When I use the scan feature, it is completely silent! It’s not the fastest printer, but adequate for how much I print. I was dubious about the liquid ink, but it was easy and did not leak out. Set up was easy. This is a handsome looking printer. I bought a canon (all black), which is the color I wanted, but I got it home and the copy function did not work so I had to return it. Funny thing is that the copy function of the Canon in the store on the same model did not work either when I tested it. So HP it is! Also, I was fairly certain that I needed a top loader to print my 110-pound card stock, and it works great. I didn’t want a top loader, but I had to get one, and now I realize how easy it is to grab a piece of paper out of it when I need one.

Good for minimal printing but would not connect!
This printer did NOT want to connect to any of my devices (using the HP app). I tried with multiple devices and could only print using the Wifi Direct mode, which was inconvenient. It also cannot print double sided automatically. You have to print one side first and then feed it back into the printer to print the other side, but this process was confusing and ultimately did not work. The biggest issue was the connectivity problems.

Set up printer as described. Downloaded app as directed. Swore once or twice and figured it out by accident. There is definitely a learning curve associated with this printer. Don’t drop kick this through the door window yet! Requires careful and patient focus to understand how this works. Seems to be an upgrade to previous Epson printer. Good quality print and 2 years worth of ink.

It is a nice wireless printer and the large tanks of ink may actually break the printer ink scam that has been going on for years and years. We shall see how long the tanks last and then what aftermarket ink can be used to lower the cost. Just make sure you use HP formulated ink. My only complaint is that the wireless only works in 2.4ghz and not 5.0ghz and the real catch is that you PC, laptop, tablet or phone has be be connected to the exact same 2.4ghz connection that the printer is connected to. If you have mesh system which provides both 2.4ghz and 5.0ghz you can not have you PC connected to the 5.0 and print to the 2.4 where the printer has to live. Bad software design! Another issue is the printer doesn’t seem to remote start from anywhere on your network you first have to go to the printer and touch the on button to get it out of standby mode then you can print form anywhere. Kind of defeats the purpose of being wireless?

Solid wireless inkjet printer and scanner that doesn’t use ink cartridges
Solid wireless inkjet printer. Wasn’t harder to setup than previous inkjet from Epson that I replaced. Print quality is a little better. Ink tubs need to fill by pouring ink bottles into them instead of cartridges. Feels like we are still wasting plastic by needing to recycle the ink bottles, but guess it’s a little better than the cartridges. Has scanner and copier functions also.Overall, solid printer/scanner with wireless functionality that was easy to setup.

We have owned a few printers over the last 30 or so years. Most have been HP and we have always liked them and had good luck with print quality and features. The one sticking point has always been cartridge cost and reliability. And they have never worked well refilling them.Our last printer was a Canon and we will never buy one again. I had been watching the ink tank printers but price was the stumbling block. With the 5000 series the ink tank printers they are finally affordable.This printer makes very nice crisp prints in both letters and pictures. It does scan, the tray is direct feed from the rear top of the printer making it nice if you make water slide decals or anything similar. Super easy to set up and install the software, print heads fill tanks etc. Once on your network it just powers down and waits for the next time you tell it to print.The printer appears to be a winner and now we just have to test it for long term reliability of print heads etc. But as it stands we are impressed and do recommend this if you are tired of the small amounts of ink in cartridges and the high cost.

Bought this because I was done with cartridges that dry up before you can print a dozen pages. We are seniors – and although not total tech idiots, did find it very tedious and challenging to set up and initiate. Definitely not plug and print!!! Once initialization was complete it works well – but be prepared – every person and device in your household that wants to access the printer will need to download the app individually – and will need an âinviteâ from the initial installer. Itâs a bit cumbersome and frustrating that way.

I used to have a cheap inkjet printer but thinking about how much you have to pay for ink replacement, its not that cheap. Plus, that inks get dried and clogged if you dont use it for long. The ink tank printers however is much cost efficient. I love the quality and how easy it is to set up if you have wifi at home. Dont forget to use 2.4 GHz channel when you setup at first.

I like HP products. Previously had another HP printer model which uses the standard ink cartridges. Thought I could save money buying this HP Ink Tank model. Setup was relatively easy. Quality of print out is good. It comes with ink bottles which is supposed to last quite long. Everything was working beautifully until around the 2 month mark when I started getting errors on the printer indicating a problem with the color print head (print heads look just like an ink cartridge but they do not have ink inside). I was disappointed to learn that you cannot purchase these print heads on the HP Canada website. They do have print heads for this model available on Amazon but is pretty expensive. About $100 and up for the two print heads required (black printhead and color printhead). I ended up purchasing a single print head from Ali Express for way cheaper. Shipped from China and arrived 3 weeks later. I’ve had it installed and working properly once again for the last couple weeks, no issues so far.
