PBT Doubleshot Keycaps

PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) is known to be more resilient to heat and chemical than its ABS plastic counterparts. The two layers of plastics are molded together to create keycaps that never fade in color. They don’t develop an oily look as well in long term usage.

Sound Absorbing Foam Panel

Fully implemented sound-absorbing panel enhances the typing sensation and acoustic experience, making every keystroke an enjoyment in and of itself.

K71MK71M

Tri-Stage Keyboard Feet

Quality Mechanical Keyboard | Budget Friendly | Desirable Features
Edit: 07/27/2023This keyboard has been going strong since my purchase more than 2 years ago. I have upgraded my PC, moved, changed jobs, and been through 4 semesters of college since then and this keyboard is still solid as a rock. I would buy anything from i-rocks at this point.Edit: 07/21/2021i-rocks contacted me after my updated review and provided me with a replacement almost instantly after I submitted my edited review, so first of all kudos to them for the great customer service. The replacement keyboard I received has been functioning flawlessly since I received it and I am changing my rating to 5 stars to reflect that the first keyboard I received was an outlier.edit: 03/02/2021The keyboard has unfortunately not lived up to my expectations. Approximately 3 weeks ago I noticed that I kept having to hit the ‘e’ key several times before it would recognize the input. The problem then extended to the ‘s’ key, then the ‘d’ key, which is a real detriment to most video games I play and ended up being so frustrating that I am returning the keyboard. It is unfortunate because I really did have high hopes for this budget friendly mid range keyboard with lots of features. Maybe I just got a bad keyboard.original review follows.~~~I spent several weeks searching for a keyboard that had similar features to my current keyboard (Corsair K70 LUX RGB) but wouldn’t be $200+ or require several hours of setup and/or building an entirely custom solution. My requirements were:* Full size (104/108 key)* Per-key RGB* media volume wheel* standard layout* A typeface font that wasn’t horrendous* Tactile mechanical switchesAnd this meets all of those requirements! It may not seem like a lot, but believe me, it was pretty hard to find something that met all of those requirements and didn’t cost upwards of $160.Pros:+ The Outemo browns sound nicer to my ears than the Cherry browns I had before+ Tactility is much better than the Cherry browns I used before. I’ve heard people call Cherry browns “sandy reds” (e.g. not truly tactile, merely being gritty linear switches) and after using these I would say that I agree, thought I am no expert. These have a really nice bump and the sound is about an octave lower in pitch than the cherries.+ Per-key RGB is very vibrant, with only a couple keys displaying some weird legend inconsistencies (capslk and numlk specifically)+ edge lighting also looks quite nice (usually).+ detachable usb-c cable powers and connects this device.- top edge lighting could be brighter, and all around the edge lighting could use more LEDs to provide a more consistent light-bar- software is mediocre, and when I downloaded it, it was in Chinese, so it was difficult to tell how to get it to English. (click the cog wheel in the top right, then in the second menu option click on the arrow to drop down the menu and click english to change the GUI language)- the space bar is… not great. It seems to squeak, and I think it is the stabilizer(s) that are causing the squeak.- there are no separate media controls besides the wheel, just media controls accessed with the function key combinations.Other thoughts/closing: This is a great budget keyboard. My only other consideration for keyboard with similar features was the Roccat Vulcan 121 Aimo which is about twice the price. I can’t speak for quality yet as it has only seen a few days of use but the keyboard feels very heavy which is a good sign. I also don’t believe that I could swap out the switches easily but that was my only other desire and is hard to find at a reasonable price, so the point is moot. A lot of Chinese brands use this horrible ugly typeface on their keys which I don’t understand so I was pleasantly surprised to find one with a pretty standard typeface.

This keyboard hits all my fav points I look for!!!
A few months ago I had purchased a clear, backlit Aula keyboard. Pretty but started having keys fail to type & the lighting would randomly shut off. I was finally tired of it so I spent several days gathering a list of keyboards that seem decent. This keyboard & a typewriter version were then purchased.1st off, I love tactile keyboard switches but I don’t want the harsh click noise….. If you’re like me, go for Brown, White, or Clear switches. All 3 provide a noise & feeling, but not as annoying. The colors are really bright & crisp! It has a lot of diff color options & even has one that looks unique & clean….. it makes the keys’ cutout symbols colorful but the surrounding light around each key looks white (IDK how else to describe it lol), but it looks really unique! My one complaint is about the directions for the keyboard lighting….. you see, the initial list for the keys’ lighting seemed incomplete….. that is until the section right after it discusses customizing the colors yourself. So essentially, use FN+PgDn and FN+End to see even more innate color combos….Also…. if you customize the key colors yourself, take note……. you can set the color of multiple keys at once (that’s if you use the same color for multiple keys)…. then to switch to a new color for other keys…. only follow steps ‘A’ through ‘E’…. do NOT save your settings after each change…… because then you have to repeat the beginning steps again.Once the 4 lights start blinking above the wheel, you are good to go through your customizations. You’ll get it quickly!I am really hoping this keyboard doesn’t encounter usage failures in a few months like my last one, but if it does, hopefully it is fixable with a new switch on the impacted key.

    Great at the price point.
Keyboards are to taste, and I have several that I have carefully constructed, but also a few like this that I use where I need volume control but don’t want a high end keyboard (like at work, which this one is quiet enough for, or a shared computer). This one feels good to type on, and is comfortable for gaming sessions. The RGB is probably excessive, but that’s a good thing because you have lots of options including the side light which you can turn off. Right now this keyboard is doing input duty on a mac mini, and I had to remap the keyboard to do this, but that was easy after a google search and was done in OSX with ease.I would buy this again if I needed to, but it seems pretty durable, so who knows!

    Works great
UPDATEAFTER researching this issue we found that the issue was related to a series of keys being pressed unknowingly. So I have updated the review to 5 stars. My son loves this key board but only after a few months the keys are not working consistently. The Win, FN, and another button stopped working. My Son saved all his lawn mowing money for this junk. It’s a bummer because it’s a nice key board.
