strong, functional, be gentle with handles
I purchased a set of these years ago. I had to search to find them again now. These are Iris latching handles plastic file boxes. They nest on top of one another. They are translucent, so I put post it notes on the inside facing out as labels. The handles are rounded and comfortable for lifting when they are heavy and full, and the handles latch to keep the top secured. I broke a handle in a move and recently asked Iris if they sell replacement handles. No response yet but I’m hopeful. These are a good value for a set of 4. I love these file boxes. They have runners along each edge for hanging files, either letter or legal sized paper.

I downsized everything…and just kept my important papers that were absolutely needed…and I purchased these FILE FOLDER CONTAINERS to go under my 18″ platform bed! They are perfect. All these need to keep files….but not need to access files are in a watertight container that has great lids and stack so easily if needed. Excellent item…and they cost a bit more than some file folder containers and ARE WORTH IT…much studied, handles make it easy to carry and they will not have any moisture or dust …and these containers are not going to break easily….really well made.

Missing and/or Broken Handles
I really like these Iris file boxes as they are a good size for my storage area and are sturdy, but these came with 2 of the black handles completely missing and a 3rd black handle broken. Will still make use of them but am disappointed.

I live in Paradise and we get emergency evacuations for local fires. This go box my daughter made for me with all my documents that I need to take out the area. Theyâre strong boxes I can label on the outside. Whatâs in there and I can stack a couple. Good product thank you

There is no excuse for customer service not responding
I have purched this product 8 times My issue is not with the product, it is with the company and customer service. My last shipment arrived with two of the lids broken. I tried calling the provided phone number 3 times. There was never any answer,but I left messages with my email and phone number each time. NO RESPONSE.I went to their Web site and left messages and sent emails twice, emphasizing my dissapointment. NO RESPONSE.Please take this for whatever it is worth, but the company clearly does not stand or support the product. I do like the style, that you can open half the lid, and that it is stackable. If you are lucky enough to recieve a product which does not have any problem, then you are fine.

Locking Hasp looks to be weak
I think in general they are good containers but, the locking hasp is weak. I purchased (8) of these containers and (3) arrived damaged. I am in the process of trying to get replacement parts. Will update once I get feedback from the manufacturer.Update: It has been 1 week and I have not received a response from the manufacturer.

These containers are generally great for storing important paperwork files because they accommodate file folder hangers and documents. One of the boxes received had a plastic piece that holds the black clip, broken. That was disappointing. That is the kind of thing you would check if purchasing personally from a store and not buy one that is broken. People shipping to you anonymously don’t check for details like that and then wonder why customer reviews are not better.

Great look and size. I intend to use them as memory boxes and have yet to put the file folders and items in them. One at orange container arrived with the handles not attached. It wouldnât have been too big of a deal because they are easy enough to reattach, but one of the handles is cracked. The other three appear to be in good shape. Overall, I think theyâll do the job.

I have purchased dozens of these for long term storage in a non-climate controlled environment. I use them for documents and other items. The bins have a built in ridge for hanging folders. I load them up and then pop in a silica dessicant bag before sealing the lid. The lid seals are tight and keep out dust and moisture very well. Overall the bins are solidly built. My only complaint is that about one in six bins will have a at least one broken latch. The latches have two plastic ears on them that act as a hinge. The ears are pretty small and evidently get broken while being jostled during shipping. You can still make the bins seal with a broken ear but it is a disappointment in a fairly costly storage bin.
