Fantastic upgrade for the average home
Sound quality is great. Love the Dolby Surround/DTS/Atmos features, and the detachable wireless surround speakers are great. Wish they held a charge longer but theyâre easy to charge and the sound bar tells me when itâs time to plug them in. You can connect them to an outlet by usb-c cable or attach them to the sound bar to charge.I have a 60â Sony OLED tv on a low profile stand rather than the wall. The sound bar fully assembled (with surround speakers attached) will not fit in the space on the stand between the tv legs. Without the surround speakers attached, it fits great with a little extra room. So if I want to attach the surround speakers for charging I have to raise the soundbar off the stand while they charge. Not a huge deal, but know this is a really long soundbar (the entire system is 7.1 channels of great sound) so check your measurements if this applies to your setup as well. The soundbar can be wall mounted as well if you have a mounted tv if youâre looking for a clean- no component look. We have a cable box/DVR that isnât wireless so this is the best setup for us.The subwoofer is massive compared to my previous entertainment system, and it can put out some seriously massive sound. Super high quality base though (I mean, itâs a JBL which is known for high quality audio). Itâs great to listen to everything from tv to music, movies to games. Voices are clear even while powerful mids and lows are going off, and I donât need to even come close to maxing out the volume. No audio distortion at higher volumes either. Just clear audio. Love it. I live in an urban flat in a four-story walk up and none of my neighbors have commented on it being too loud.Switching between my tv and Bluetooth devices is super easy, as is adjusting the surround and subwoofer settings. All from the remote.The design is great. It looks high quality and has the weight youâd expect from high quality audio components. It has controls on the soundbar and the remote, and it can be controlled for volume with most tv remotes.I highly recommend this model. I think itâs worth the price to have high quality audio in your home.

Awesome Sound!
I upgraded to a flagship OLED tv with all the bells and whistles. I have been only using the tv speakers and it just was not good’s enough. I shopped around for quite a while for an Atmos, DTS-X capable soundbar. I got hung up on reviews by mostly audiophiles and what was recommended was way out of my price range. I am not an audiophile so what sounds good to me is what matters since this will be in my living room. I love the sound this JBL Bar 1000 produces. My living room is not huge and my ceiling is standard height. Atmos and DTS-X envelope my room and draw me into the movie like never before. I hear things I have never heard before in movies I have seen many times. Twister 4k and Jurassic Park 4K blew me away. Voices are clear and all the sound effects of thunder, birds, T-Rex,s roar, rain and everything else bounce all around my room. I love the detachable rear speakers, the calibration option, the giant subwoofer and the app is very easy to use and helpful. Very easy to set up, looks sleek and has an excellent build quality. I got this soundbar refurbished at almost half off. It arrived in really good condition and it works great. My only complaint is that I canât turn the volume way up because it might tick off my neighbors. Maybe on a holiday weekend. Highly recommend.

So easy and absolutely stunning sound!
My fiancé and I bought a 75″ Fire TV last year for Christmas for ourselves, this year we wanted to upgrade our living room sound as our Christmas present! We have experienced JBL pill speakers and have heard friends’ JBL party box- it’s always impressive, and we really didn’t want to start looking into systems above $1k. We got this for $800 on sale and it definitely proves itself worth the $$$.The packaging was very nice, everything came perfectly safe. You may need 2 people to carry it to your living room, it’s a bit heavy and awkward- our delivery driver set it inside our house for us and I scooted it across the floor into the living room. You’ll definitely want a helper for navigating stairs.My fiancé unboxed everything and set this entire thing up in like 5 minutes, seriously. We had no trouble connecting to the TV, it barely fits in between the legs underneath so anyone with less than 75″ will need to put this soundbar on the wall (or put their TV on the wall), it is quite long with the detachable speakers on the main soundbar. The subwoofer legit just plugs into the electrical outlet and INSTANTLY was connected/in sync with the bar – we put ours behind our sofa.We downloaded the JBL One app (android version) and it took me another 5 minutes to calibrate the system, you just have to move the detachable speakers around your room a couple times and it goes through a sound test process. 10 minute total set up time and it sounds amazing!!! The app has controls to adjust the equalizer if you’re into that. The remote has easy buttons for detachable speaker volume control, subwoofer volume control, and Dolby atmos intensity control. The remote also paired well with our Fire TV, and the JBL remote seamlessly controls both the sound system volume and the TV volume simultaneously.The sound put out by the speakers, bar, and subwoofer is truly incredible. We knew anything would be an improvement from our TV sound, but we are SO happy we went with this JBL system.Merry Christmas from an ultra happy JBL customer couple!!! <3

This sound bar is incredible, wasn’t too sure about it at first, listening to it with apps on my TV, it sounded good but not great. Some apps better than others, I ran my Blu Ray player through the sound bar and up to the television through HDMI arc input and the clarity of this sound bar is unbelievable. I really like this sound bar and would recommend it to anyone who really enjoys full immersion in their movie experience. Great quality, easy to install and use, functions great, so anyone saying it doesn’t sound great, it’s the apps they’re using not the bar. Also down load the JBL One app to your phone. Makes setup and room calibration simple.

Design is genius, Wireless Rear Speakers can either be kept attached to main bar for charging/sound or be magnetically detached with ease to setup surround sound. Can be powered permanently as rear speaker setup with USB C Cables (Sold separately). Wireless Subwoofer has phenomenal frequency response. JBL One App is well designed. Easy to Calibrate System. Excellent for Music, Movies and Gaming.
