Excellent System
Finally installed this system. As with the other reviews it can get pretty loud without distortion – about 27 / 28 after that you will get a little distortion. Overall it is a very good system that I use for outdoor use – I purchased a solid waterproof power supply to power this. After all said and done I am very happy with it. The only downside, which is not a star-worthy ding, is the lack of remote control, which I mitigated by purchasing from another vendor (the remote works great).I have tested this system with an iPod – worked great. Bluetooth on a iPhone – works well as long as you stay within 30 feet. AM/FM works great. Not tested – Sirius XM.The only other thing I will have to do is purchase a good outdoor sub-woofer. The stereo is capable of producing good low base but the included speakers really only have good power response between about 480Hz to 18KHz. If you need lower frequencies with good power – buy a sub-woofer (powered or un-powered).I highly recommend this system for vehicles, boats, or for a great outdoor entertainment unit.

Just what i needed!
Installed this unit and speakers in my outdoor bar. Great little setup. The only drawback is that there isnt quite enough amplification for the speakers. I will be adding an amp very soon. Otherwise, this is a great buy!

The purchase of this Marine Stereo was made with the indent purpose of installing it out on my backyard deck. This is the first time I attempt to install a car/marine radio in anything so I am learning things as I go, but it really is as straight forward as I’ve been reading.I researched this stereo unit and found all the reviews overwhelmingly positive, with which I must agree. I wanted BLUETOOTH, FM, USB but most importantly I wanted to rest assured water would not be something to cause worry. The sounds this unit produces are great, even brought out all my young adult “kids” out to see what dad had brought home. Excellent sound! BLUETOOTH was easy enough to pair and I am surprised at the incredible app JVC has made for Android phones, JVC Smart Music Control, worked right out of the box with my Galaxy S3 phone! I have booming sound inside the house (for now) but it sounds even better outside! There is just so much that this stereo can do especially when connected with a smartphone!The speakers started out as a disappointingly small size, they measure 6″ x 4″ x 4″. But now their size is a plus, making them easier to hide, less noticeable. They sound great even with just two speakers connected. Now I can’t wait to get all four connected and discretely positioned around my deck.Even though I am a novice when it comes to the car/marine stereo game, I can’t imagine being any happier with my purchase. Let me add that I received my order the very next day without requesting it but that could be because I live in New York.

Bought this set up for a 95 wrangler, for those times you may not get the top on fast enough. head unit slid right into the existing dash cage. Zip tied the speakers to the roll cage. Decent unit for the price for a trail vehicle, Volume is loud enough to hear over the wind. Sound is fair. USB and bluetooth are a great addition.
