This Klipsh CORE 200 is quite the chameleon – in a very good way!
Prior to purchasing this Klipsch Flexus CORE 200 soundbar, I had used several other models from the likes of Yamaha, Vizio, and Sony. And I felt that they did well, given their price-point, but for some, they didn’t last long. Recently, I became intrigued with this Klipsch model so I purchased it with an $80 off coupon (which only appeared for 24 hours on Amazon). When it arrived, I was pleasantly stunned to see such a nicely designed unit – with some good heft to it . It is mostly made with wood and metal with plenty of inputs and outputs on the rear. And did I mentioned that it was an attractive unit?Another reason I wanted to get this Klipsch model is due-to-the-fact that it had a dedicated wired self-powered subwoofer output connection on the rear – which is rare to find anymore – since most soundbars now-a-days only feature dedicated wireless connections. But for someone with a wired powered subwoofer, having this dedicated subwoofer output (RCA connection) was the icing on the cake.I connected the unit via the HDMI-arc(e) input on my 77″ Samsung 4K TV, and then I began watching a variety of programs. My reasoning for calling the CORE 200 a chameleon is due to the fact that if your video has poor audio – well, that’s what you’ll get – poor audio. Just keep in mind that this CORE 200 can’t magically make chicken salad out of c-h-i-c-k-e-n s-h-i-t – it’s that simple. Often-times, many of us, somehow (and it’s not realistic) will assume that fine audio gear will make “everything” sound better. Well, that’s just not realistic, meaning what goes in should come out with the same effects. However, with videos with good to superb soundtracks, this sound-bar will fill the front of your viewing area with a broad sound-stage and excellent separation from left to right. With excellent movies/recordings, you’ll get excellent instrumental timbre and stunning bass (even without any external subwoofers). The internal 4″ subwoofers do a great job of getting the bass down to around 50-55 hz, and provide you with a palpable effect. I happen to be also using an Edifier 8″ powered subwoofer connected to my Klipsch, and the bass reach and effects are even better. So if you don’t have a subwoofer already, then I’d suggest getting the optional Klipsch 10″ subwoofer to really give this baby some extra wallop. So folks – this is certainly one of your better soundbars. The downloadable Klipsch app for your cell phone will give you very detailed information and options to further adjust your soundbar – even allowing you to update the firmware (when new firmware becomes available). The remote control is also nice – very straight forward – allowing you to choose a variety of functions, and that LCD screen on the right of the sound-bar, shows you at-a-glance what settings you have (as you adjust them).Of course, some of you may be asking, “well, what about the negatives?” Well, do keep in mind that all reviews are subjective, based on how we are using the gear. As I alluded to above, for me – in my family room setup – I have the Klipsch connected to a 77″ Samsung 4K TV. Because I’m a senior citizen, there are certain sound tracks where the voices are difficult for us to make out. I found the dialogue control on this Klipsch still lacking somewhat (for us personally) and on some movies where the music and other sound effects almost drown out the voices, it was still difficult for us to make things out – unless we turned up the volume quite a bit. However, due to the overall superb performance of this CORE 200, I won’t deduct any points in the overall rating. So for me, this CORE 200 is far, far superior to the previous brands that I’ve used, and I can heartily recommend this unit. Thus a full 5 stars?

Worth every penny and way more!!!!!!!!
This soundbar blows me away. I am not an audiophile but I know good quality and I can hear the difference between good soundbars and crap soundbars. I’ve been a hardcore bose for years and loyal to a brand when it’s good but jumped ship. Had the new bose soundbar AI and was very disapointed for the price and sound. This bar makes you feel you are at the movie theater or at a music concert. Everything about this bar blows me away. The LED display is super nice to have since I can visualize the actual volume as opposed to guessing or pushing way more buttons than needed. The remote is simple and easy to use. It’s nice to have a tangible device instead of being forced to use an app on the phone. But the phone app compliments the soundbar for those extra tweaks needed and there are not many needed. You set it and forget it. The sound quality is just amazing. The bass is amazing. The dialog is amazing. Everything is clear and super bass on top of all that.

    Worth every cent!
Been using it for about 5 hours so far, build quality is top notch, connectivity so far has been stellar, value for money is worth $400 easy, functions as it’s supposed to so far, size fits my 50 inch tv perfectly.I live in a small space and only turn tv up to 50 and sound bar is at 25 with night mode turned off, the bass is incredible without the subwoofer like it sounds really freaking good. You can listen to it in videos but it sounds so much better in person. The dialogue is crystal clear on newer movies and shows but older shows it’s a little lower but still able to hear it without trouble.I turned night mode on and it’s not a cheap gimmicky mode like I’ve used on other things, this cuts the booming bass but still has bass just not the loud cinematic kind. It sounds really good on night mode I really love it.Using it on a Vizio tv with eARC and CEC is enabled on tv. I can control volume with Vizio remote and when I power the tv on with Vizio remote the sound bar comes on automatically. However you still need the Klipsch remote for different modes, dialogue, and night mode. Two modes you get are movie and music mode, I haven’t used it long enough to know if music mode is good for music because movie is good for both movies and music. It’s heavy and feels to the touch like a professionally built device, you can’t see it in pictures but it has a wood like pattern on it which I really like. It feels like a $500 device very well made and will probably last for many years. If you’re on the fence about which soundbar to get, this is the one, the bass, mids, and highs are all amazing even without a subwoofer. The fact that I can use a wired subwoofer besides the one meant to be added (sub 100) has me grinning from ear to ear. Going to add the R-120SW because in the manual it shows that you can plug into the “L/LFE” and shows the Gain knob found on that sub. Would probably shake the earth, lol. This bar has made me a happy camper!!

Crisp and clear sound, wished it was louder…
Connecting it to the television was easy, and adding an older model Klipsh subwoofer was a snap. The included remote control is hard to read with little or no light in the room, and is a bit finicky to get the speaker to accept its commands, more than likely to do to limited area of reception. Connecting it to my phone via Bluetooth was swift, and the downloadable Klipsh app allows for more precise tuning and control if the remote is not available. The sound is magnificent in quality, just wished it was louder for party purposes. Still though, a definitely recommended sound bar for anyone looking to augment their listening experience!
