    Tiny
This makes labels up to 1 inch – that’s barely wider than your thumb. Which would be fine if it was a high quality glossy or “vinyl” type label but it’s not – it’s a cheap label that’s just not very sticky, and the app to use it kind stinks. I’ve tried a handful of label printers and this just isn’t in my top choices – either get a dedicated “label maker” machine to make little stick-on labels for containers, or get a bluetooth thermal printer, but this is a weird combination of the worst of both.

PC App lacking, but mobile app great!
I work in IT so have to do a LOT of labeling. Having a label maker where I can type out what I need is a game changer, so I was excited to pick this up. It has options to plug into your PC via USB or connect via Bluetooth to your PC or mobile device. There is a PC app for label design as well as a mobile app for phones (and I’m guessing it works for tablets too but I didn’t try to attach it to one).My ideal plan was to use this on PC, but as a PC label printer I’d honestly give it 1 star. The PC app is AWFUL. Super clunky, difficult to understand, and even their “knowledge base” doesn’t get you very far, and half of the trainings don’t even work. Just a super frustrating experience that made me not want to use this thing at all. That said, I actually got another label maker with a built-in keyboard that also happens to have app support. It uses the same app (Print Master) and when I first opened the app it actually auto-connected to this label printer. I’m glad it did, because I had this thing written off. The mobile app is WAY EASIER to use and actually gave me a good experience.Print quality on the labels is good. It comes with a 24mm wide label cartridge. Not a ton of label, it’s marked as “SAMPLE” on the cartridge, so I’ll have to find replacements as some point sooner rather than later. Looks like it supports a lot of different sizes at least. One thing I do dislike that I still need to dig and see if it’s an option I can turn off: every time I print a label, this spits out about an inch of blank label, cuts it, and then prints my label. Super wasteful! Is this just to get me to buy more label cartridges sooner than necessary? I’ve never had another label printer do this to me. Very weird. Haven’t looked for the setting so hopefully it’s something I can shut down.Overall, it does good quality, and I like the mobile app. I HATE the desktop app and wish it didn’t spit out unused label portions before printing what I want. The good slightly outweighs the bad, but this is far from perfect.

Might be a great, versatile label printer…
Looking at the Amazon web page, this is one impressive device. Multiple label widths and apparently most any length you want. (Users will need to bear in mind that 25mm=1″.) The product charges through USB-C, and you don’t have to use your phone’s tiny little keys to create labels, this hooks up to your PC via Bluetooth or USB. A great feature. So why just 2 stars? After a week or so of trying, I’ve not been able to figure out the software, but maybe that is something I’ll ultimately be able to do. Users contemplating the purchase of this machine should be aware of the somewhat complex process of getting it to work at all; it is NOT ready to use ‘…right out of the box…’ as the seller advertises. Here is what you have to do.First, be aware that you are downloading a file that will show it is downloaded when it in fact may not be. So you have to download it and then just wait several minutes for it to really download. I’ve never experienced this before and don’t know why the manufactured couldn’t just use a zip file.Next, you’re going to have to deal with Microsoft and learn about .net core. Never heard of net core? Me neither. Somewhere in the installation process (after the file is actually completely downloaded), you are directed to ‘click here to install .net core’, but when you do, you get the dreaded pop-up saying ‘file not found’.After a bit of research, largely by stumbling around, you’ll find that .net core is now obsolete and Microsoft has replaced it with something else. All of this (hours’ worth) was with the 64-bit version of their program and ultimately got me nowhere, so I tried the 32-bit version, and got the Labelife program installed on my computer, because after all, who needs 64-bit speed for printing the occasional label?Moving onto the operation and software, as I mentioned, I haven’t gotten labels to print the way I want them yet (it is not WYSIWYG), but maybe I’ll get there before my included sample label cartridge runs out. Which takes me to the next issue.Where does one buy cartridges for this thing? While there is a bundle offered on Amazon, for the life of me I can’t find where to buy the cartridges. Not good. While this may end up being a very versatile and innovative label maker, it isn’t quite ready to sell just yet.
