Great if you have the label maker
You can sometimes find the vixic label maker for a $10 deal and itâs such a good one!! Iâve used it a ton! It has a fairly easy app that you connect to via Bluetooth from your phone. This tape is clear label with black ink. Itâs sticky, it has a back peel that peels halfway in the back horizontally. Iâve stuck it to plastic, wood, glass, even fabric and it holds pretty well! But also comes off with no residue. Canât ask for any more!

Originally I purchased the label maker and I’ve been using it all the time. These clear ones are fantastic for labeling anything and everything!!! The adhesion is amazing, it’s also easy to remove at a later date with no sticky residue to remove. The borders and font styles, etc are great…. Purchased more labels (these) as I know I’ll be running out soon. Worth the price (and I’m a penny pincher!!)

I’ve given these five stars because they are, in isolation, very good.They function perfectly as replacements for DYMO-branded label cartridges with my DYMO 160 labeler (which incidentally, is a great piece of kit). No issues whatsoever.I can’t fault the clarity of print or strength of adhesion; they are at least as good as the original labels and any compatibles I’ve used so far.By comparison to original DYMO labels (at £15 per cartridge) these are a bargain. With the current £15 voucher these come out to £5 per piece, which is entirely reasonable, and how the original ones should really be priced; but we all know those are a rip-off, and the sort of shenanigans that DYMO get up to to screw their customers on labels/cartridges.However there are many comparable compatibles on Amazon right now that come out at half that price; about £2.50 a piece.I’ve used some of these; the last set I bought were £4 each, and they also performed perfectly.I guess the question is; what do these do at £5 each (or £8 at the “regular” price) that the others at £2.50 do not?It may be that these use more UV-resistant pigments, or a better adhesive, and therefore last longer.In practice I’d need to do long-term testing that the Vine program doesn’t really allow for to find out if there IS any difference. That’s the issue with compatibles; it’s a race to the bottom and very difficult for quality to shine over extremely low prices.These are absolutely worth £5 a piece. At £8 I don’t think they justify their extra cost over the other compatibles that are available.

Used in my Dymo 160 the print result were excellent and indistinguishable from the original product. At the time of review this 5 pack of Vixic tapes are priced approx the same as 2 original tapes, so are excellent value.Adhesive wise I found them slightly harder to separate from the backing paper, but that’s being super critical. Iâve used them on plastic, glass and some tins, all adhering well.Being thermal printing there is no smudging or ink transfer from the labels.Due to the time limit imposed for posting the review I have not factored durability or long term label residue into my rating. I do however keep my reviews updated with any issues if they occur.
