Pro-level Hardware with USB SuperSpeed transfers
I have an older Nikon D800 which takes high speed Compact Flash and SD cards. My previous card readers were the previous Lexar reader which was USB2.0 and had a terrible plasticky body. After 6 years of use, it has stopped working altogether. But 6 years of real-world use is actually really good. Therefore, another Lexar Pro reader made sense to get. To my surprise, this isn’t just a replacement. It’s a big upgrade. The triangular design looks good on my desk and it’s easy to just face the card type I am using. CF on one side and SD on the next.Transfer speeds are really good and I was pleasantly surprised to see USB-C on the actual device. It comes with a USB SS cable (super speeds for USB 3), but having a USB-C interface is a logical next step to have. These cards can’t got to Thunderbolt transfers so SS is appropriate. In other words, the limiting speed factor is the card’s read/write speeds. In a BlackMagic Disk speed, I got about 82MB/s in a CF card that is rated at 90MB/s, and about 255MB/s (read) on a SD card rated at 300MB/s. That’s quite impressive. Finally, the value for money is a no-brainer. 6 years ago, I would have had to spend at least $100 for a SanDisk equivalent (made with a robust metal enclosure). At almost a fifth of that price, if I knew about this product sooner, I would have purchased it already. Thus far very pleased.I did see a review reporting issues with bent pins. That can happen with any card reader if the CF cards are inserted without any care. My gear is getting pretty old, but I still get amazing performance from them. That’s largely because I treat my gear with care and respect and, in exchange, expect the best performance. I hope to have this card reader for many years to come.

Works great for photography
Bought this for my photography use. Works perfectly with my Sandisk CF express Type B card. The reader is super fast. Really small and PortableComes with USB-C to C cable and USB-A to C. The build quality feels really good. It had a good weight to it with a rubber pad on the bottom so doesnât slide around.Really good price to some of the others Iâve seen. This product did get pretty hot when being used So be cautious to not overheat your memory card or the reader itself.

Absolutely love.
I have been looking for a double card reader since my camera takes both SD and the newer CFExpress type B card. And this card reader is so perfect! Itâs slim and stays connected unlike others I have had in the past where the cord goes bad after a week or two. Iâve been using it for about 2 months and it doesnât seem to get hot like other readers have in the past. The transfer speed is amazing. Itâs just what I need to make the transferring and editing process smoother. Last but not least the light level isnât too bright. It is a constant blinking to let you know itâs attached and it doesnât even bother me at all.

Works as it should and easy to use
Great card reader. I was looking for a reader for both CF Express (Type B) and SD. Ultimately, I landed on this one. There are plenty of cheaply made readers out there, but I wanted a well-known brand I knew I could trust. I didn’t want to take my chances on a less expensive one but of questionable quality. This reader does everything I need, and I really appreciate the quality. The price of this is still very competitive, but the quality beats out the others.

Issues “Ejecting” the media, as noted by others
As noted by others, “eject” is greyed out for the CFExpress slot. However, by default in Windows it does appear the media is mounted with write caching disabled so that it can be removed without ejecting as long as you’re not in the middle of writing to it. You can confirm this in Computer Management in the Storage section by looking in the properties of the drive.Copying files works fine and provides comparable speeds to other readers I have.Originally I had given this 3 stars, but have upgraded it to 4 stars after confirming I don’t get errors ejecting media without safely removing it first.

Fast and reliable.
Fast transfer and reliable. Simultaneous read write to both cards is the best feature I like. Some other readers just cannot do this, be aware of that.

FANTASTIC, dont waste money on cheaper ones
Fantastic, much better than others. I have canon R5 mark ii I took some high def 8k video w CF B. Another card reader(cheaper,I thought arent they the same-so wrong, buy this one) the first could NOT open or recognise file. Even when i plugged computer directly to camera via C it could not open, only way file would open was play hdmi out from camera. All other options said file was 0 kb(empty-but yet would play on camera) I placed CF in the lexar and my computer immediately recognised it and was able edit video as needed. This is worth The extra money. Transfer speeds on microsd is 95-120 write. Great unit

Very happy with transfer speeds, have had no issues , picked it up roughly 3-4 months ago and have transferred close to 20,000 photos in that time and has been working great with my Lexar and Sandisk SDXC v60 cards
