Great portable charger an no wires!
I have used many different name and no name brand chargers over the years but all required cables. I just got a new phone and bought a mag case for it. While I have used the wireless charger at night, it is a desk model. I ordered the Mayfield Magnetic Portable Charger to have a wireless charger to carry around.The charger comes in a box with a short USB-C charging cable. Mine was charged right out of the box so I popped it on the back of my phone. The magnet was strong and stuck to my case easily. It stayed in place even when I shook it (I didn’t try to throw major league speed pitches but shook it using short quick shakes). When I shook it a bit harder, it did start to slide around some but I generally don’t shake a phone like that so it wasn’t an issue. I am using a mag safe case that has a ring of maqnets which I am sure helps. The kickstand is a nice touch and let’s me prop the phone up both vertically or horizontally. It is solid and is tucked out of the way so it doesn’t get caught on anything when not in use.The charger charged my S24 Ultra at about 1% every 2-3 minutes. As soon as I popped it on my phone instantly read “Fast Charging”. I used it to get my phone from 50% all the way to 100% and the battery only went down by 1 bar on the charge lights. There are only lights, no actual numbered meter. I also used it to charge an older phone using a cable and it worked, but not as fast.I am very happy with this charger. My wife and I play a game that involves a lot of walking to “try to catch them all” and we always had to use a cable charger. The Mayfeel charger is a game changer. It is small enough that it isn’t uncomfortable when you hold it and the phone in your hand, sticks in place nicely and charges my phone fast. What more can you ask for? Definitely worth the $50 price tag (and, at the time of this review, there is a 20% coupon available!).
