I purchased this soundbar because my husband and I both have hearing problems. When we turn up the television we are blasted by the background music/noise and still have a hard time understanding what the people are saying. This soundbar helps somewhat, but I was hoping it would eliminate the background noise. The remote is basic. There is a bar on the soundbar box that shows when it is turned up. It would be better if there were numbers that were bright so we could know what level the sound is at. I do not think it works as effectively as it is advertised.

Crystal clear dialogue!
I have a hearing problem and struggle to catch the dialogue while watching TV. I canât enjoy watching movies and shows because I have to rewind a lot or use distracting subtitles. Turning up the volume is really annoying because the sound is very harsh and bothers the rest of my family. I had these Mirai speakers recommended to me for their clear dialogue. Just as I had hoped, the speakers have excellent sound quality, and most importantly, the dialogue is much clearer. I can even understand different accents in movies, which was always a challenge. Itâs a huge improvement to the built-in TV speakers, which sounded distant, muddy, and high-pitched. My children also noticed a big improvement in the sound. Finally, I can actually enjoy watching TV with my family without constantly rewinding, subtitles, or harsh sounds.The speaker unit itself was quick and simple to set up, and it feels durable and of good quality. It is also compact and fits perfectly under the screen. Overall, Iâm very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone who wants a better audio experience while watching TV.

Not any clearer for me.
I was hopeful that this product would increase the understandability of our Sony TV but no such luck. I tried the optical interface, and analog interface, with TV speakers, without TV speakers – all sounded pretty similar to me and my wife. I sent it back.In a separate issue… with my Sony TV, the optical interface forced me to use the speaker’s volume control – the TV volume control only controlled the TV speakers. However the analog interface did allow me to control the sound bar’s volume from my TV remote.
